on the avatar page it says:

Your avatar must be no bigger than 120 pixels by 120 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 64 KB.
The following file types are allowed: gif,jpeg,jpg,swf,png

But when trying to use a flash movie (.swf) file as my avatar it dosnt let me saying you cannot use flash in avatars and posts.

Hmm. I'm not sure why it's doing that. Maybe Mike can answer that question.

Edit: Apparently the default extensions allowed does not include the .swf format. Since .swf is not an image file, it probably does not work with the image tag, and thus, won't work as an avatar. I'm not sure why it was put as an allowed extension in the first place, but I've changed it for now.

yea i usualy do but i saw it and get really excited because i could have made a cool interactive avatar.

Who needs interactive avatars? It would suck, people will use it to direct to links and such... WHat's the point anyway?
