Hey Spyder, have you thought of linking the forum to the main site? It get's slightly annoying, having to keep two windows open, or re-typing the URL whenever I want to go between pages. I'm pretty sure Invision boards allow you to edit the header with HTML, so why don't you think about it?
-
Spyder is not here at the moment (as far as I know... he's off to some GDP festival or smth).
And joining forums and site is crap, and is an idea spawned by Vampz. Period.
Also, what's the freaking point?
-
Laziness
-
All hail laziness!
Wait... Vampz started that idea? Eek. I retract my suggestion.
-
Look in the top-left corner of the screen Wink
-
Ah-ha! I have found what I was looking for. Glad that mystery was solved without bloodshed.

You're a ninja.

I'M A DUCK! *quack*
-
Whats the point really? The forums are more active than the site. It takes like days or even months for an update while the forums, you might get instant radification.
-
I wouldn't say the site isn't being used though. Obviously activity on the forums is more easily noticed, but people are using the site quite a bit as well, it's just that the only changes appear when someone actually submits something, which is rare. A lot of submissions that do come in are deleted because of poor quality though.

No, hoobob is the ninja!

It's far easier to get games you want from the site, even though it's rarely updated, and it looks far better (more organised) as well.
I'M A DUCK! *quack*
'There is a word in Newspeak,' said Syme, 'I don't know whether you know it: duckspeak, to quack like a duck. It is one of those interesting words that have two contradictory meanings. Applied to an opponent, it is abuse, applied to someone you agree with, it is praise.'
-
I never noticed that link. Goody, good, good! I shall use that to travel between the two dementions and such Very Happy Razz !
-
ON the subject of the site, where in the heck are the big sound paks it used to have? It had a very good rain sound in it that fit this song i was working on to a t.
-

It is? Hmm. Maybe I should have put my name to it considering 90% of professional sites have the forums integrated into the site in some way - could have made a bit of money.
I guess I am slowly taking over the world... Wink
-
Not to mention the forums used to be integrated into rpgtoolkit.com wern't they? Or maybe that was just frames...
-
It was just frames.
-
Yeah, weren't the old rpgtoolkit.com fourms all kinda like the Dark Age ones?
-
Yeah, but Xorlak's site is uber coolness...just thought I'd say that, no reason really...all sites are equally cool.
-
 Sure they are! EVERYONE knows that DMDGames is uber duber cool! Razz
-
No, Dude Man.
RPGToolkit.com had conventional frames.
The DA site has IFrames, or floating frames.
-
Ah I see. Yeah, I never used the RPGToolkit.com one. I joined MS like in early 2003 and then left a month after and then returned and did more stuff!
-
I think he was refering to the threaded style, not the frames.
Long live threaded forums! (That was a fun war a year ago, huh? Heh...) I have the last remaining threaded board on the entire 'net, don't I?
-
Nope, OT Repbulic has one, and I'm sure there are few more.
-
The super old server.com forums are still being used as a haven for spam.
-
Heh, the last one 'seriously' used then.
-
Spam? No, no, you've got it all wrong.
Server.com acts a place for discussion of the highly intellectual Wink
-
Ah, my mistake ^_^
-
Heh, the last one 'seriously' used then.
Still nope Razz
I know of a fully serious threaded forum about laser tag.
-
Was it near by the one about stabbing marz?
Accually I haven't herd of the server.com one. I'd like to see this, spam haven...
-
Sad I lost the URL to to the server.com spam-board. I'm sad.
...sort of...
