Title: (no subject)
Post by: Aminaga on November 07, 2004, 06:38:54 PM
Here's the basic idea of the story I made that I'll eventually turn into a game.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Millions of years ago, before life existed on earth, the gods created 6 magic blades: The Fire Blade, The Ice Blade, The Thunder Blade, The Aqua Blade, and The Dark Blade. Now, the gods fear the power of the dark blade, and decided to banish it to earth, before there is human life there. Years later, when humans are on earth, a dark spirit sends his minions to manipulate humans into finding the dark blade.

Eventually, a 14 year old boy, Aminaga Ragtunos, tries to use the divine powers of "The Blade of Champion" to try and defeat the dark spirit and destroy his dark blade, which killed his father in a war.

Aminaga seccsessfully destroys the dark spirit, and his blade, but not without getting frozen for 500 years. When Aminaga is freed, he attends to a
warrior training academy, where he goes of on a daring quest to use
The Blade of Champion's powers to reseal away the dark blade,
and make new friends along the way, including a mysterious mercenary, a female
warrior, and a mystical wizard.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, what do you think? Like it? Hate it? Love it?
Just give me a rating of something out of 5 stars.

3 Stars

Because of the following

1-The story seems abit used up

2-His first quest is cooler then his main quest

3-No talking pie

But hey that's 60% more then my first game, so good job!

2 stars

You said there are 6 swords when you only listed 5, probably a mistake on your part, but thats what it says. Unless the "Blade of Champion" is the blade not listed.

You should tell us how a 14 year old boy got a hold of the "Blade of Champions". That is, assuming that "to use the divine powers of "The Blade of Champion" to try and defeat the dark spirit and destroy his dark blade" means he's actually wielding the sword

So a 14 year old boy manages to defeat a dark spirit wielding a dark sword and gets frozen for 500 years, then he gets freed and attends a warrior training acadamy? If the kid was able to defeat a dark spirit using a legendary sword, I would already think he had some extensive training beforehand.

You fail to explain why he has to reseal the dark blade, and how did it get free?

Also the party seems kind of Cliche, but that isn't a problem with me

Okay, now that I'm back, I'm here to anwser all your questions!
If you were confused about the 7 god blades:
Fire Blade,
Ice Blade,
Thunder Blade,
Aqua Blade,
Wind Blade,
and Dark Blade,
then the only reason the Blade of Cahmpion isn't listed is because in the story, it was created after the 6 others.
Second: It's because Aminaga is...AHH! I almost gave away part of the major story plot! Sorry, but you'll have to wait until the game comes out. OR at least wait for the demo( if you want to help out, check out the RPG Code Shack
every once in a while.)
Third: There will be absolutly, NO TALKING PIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO TALKING CAKES! NO TALKING PIZZAS! NO TALKING FOOD AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides, I wound't want to copyright Dude Man's game.

And thanks for the ratings. I'll tell you guys more about the plot when the demos
come out one by one.

Your NOT haveing talking food? Sheesh..

Well it sound like your game is probally going to be pretty good. But more like Dark Edge 1 or The Black Walkway 2 good.

You still havn't explained why he would need to go to a warrior training academy after he defeated a dark spirit with a legendary sword
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Aminaga on November 08, 2004, 06:16:00 PM
Because I want it to find out when the game comes out. DUH!!!!!!!!

Also, Dude Man is right, there must be no talking food!
Does Dark Age have  talking food? No. Does Eternal Blade have talking food? No.
Does Gendin's Quest have talking food? No. Does any other game other then yours
have talking food? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Erases memory of any non-living thing that talks!

Bye!

People should stop using the young pre-teen to teenager that rises to power to defeat an ancient evil cliché, but thats just my opinion.

I'd say 2 out of 5 because you wouldn't reveal enough about the story line, but what you did reveal only pointed on 3 parts of the major story line (waking up after 500 years, going to an academy and meeting friends to help him destory the great evil).

Thats about all I have to stay. I'll still get the demo to test it out though. Your story may be a little rough around the edges, but the game might be decent.

Chill out, man. You've asked for opinions.

And my opinion is always that war is not for children, any form of war. Be they dying on streets at age of 13 from grenades thrown by german soldiers or be they fighting dark forces with legendary weapons.

Plus, it IS a cliche.

I'm not saying it can't make good game, though Wink

19 should be like the minimum age for Heros anyway. So if you want a young hero then have him 19.

Okay, now you're going into reality, Cesque!
Sadly, I am so not interested in a reality game!
In fact, no one is!!!!!!!!!!!!
so just use your imagination, and please just shut up.

P.S. I did say he lost the battle. As Xorlak would say, "Heh."

If there were no humans, why create blades? There are no creatures to use them! These gods are very strange...

And uh...

Yet...

I don't understand. He successfully destroys the blade and dark power, but he has to defeat it again? I think you need to rethink that aspect.

Errr... WE are the ones who read this topic. Others include Quoaz, Spyder, Xorlak and AlienDude (and perhaps also Will), so... not too many people.

I don't really understand people who get a crap about spoilers...
Title: (no subject)
Post by: AlienDude on November 11, 2004, 11:46:43 AM
Actually i give a crap too about spoiling parts of the storyline that must be discovered for full efect.  That's why the desciptions on my site are so sparse.  I have the rest in a multitude of note books.  And i MEAN a multitude, it annoys my mom to no end (objective complete  ^_^ )!!!

I understand how u feel DMM.  For example, Phantas is going through some major changes right now, and i haven't told anyone really anything with the storyline (which is about 50% done).  I will give a little teaser shortly though,

But i also see Cesque's point, not many people see this site on any given day, it might as well be a private board right now.  So throw your arse into the wind and see what happens.

btw i think it's a 2.5/5 (not going three bcuz of X-Play hee hee).  Work a little more on the history before you do anything else with the present (which is what I'm doing with Phantas).  And add some unconventional elements too.  The gaming industry needs unconventional thought.

DOWN WITH THE BOX!!!!!

DMM:  I see no beans.  I'm getting hungry.  Besides if this site gets going again, and you get justifiably paranoid about the "Spoilers" just ask one of the admins to delete the topic or move it under a rock, or deep in the archives.  Good suggestion: G's Pub, where nothing lasts more than five minutes Very Happy .

I played some of the game before I got a font error and had to close the game down, and I had no freaking idea what the hell was happening. Everything still made no sense

At all.

I had no idea what was going on in the first map of the game, you're just standing there and you take a few steps and the battle starts, where you then exchange a couple of 1 damage attacks and then the battle is over and then it just teleports me to after the hero escapes from the crystal where you run around and talk to some old guy

Now, I'm assuming the hero was using the blade of champion when he destroyed the spirit, and I'm assuming he had it when he fought the old guy. So why in the freaking hell would the headmaster give you a "basic sword" if you just handed his ass to him on a silver platter using either the Blade of Champion (which isn't that powerful if it was used) or his bare fists. That headmaster shouldn't be a headmaster, you have more hit points than he does, the wuss.

I'm so confused

Well, both of those enemies had more HP, but I had to make there HP be lower since I wanted the battle to end without nobody dying.

Although it was the crappiest way, it was the least I could do! And your battle with
the headmaster,(who's name is Wiltonn by the way!) is just a training battle
for those who are new to the Toolkit. Even if your expirienced with the battle system, you still have to play it.
