When you get stat points, do you have to use them as soon as the battle ends, or can you use them from the field?

Stat points?
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Xorlak on August 19, 2003, 09:37:45 AM
Either way.  You can use them immediately or save them for later, either from the end of another battle or from the menu.

By stat points he means the experience points you get after each battle that are used to increase your stats individually.

Mehh... Dark age 2 appears a *LOT* better than Dark age 1 (No offense, Xorlak, but you remeber that outcast who didn't like dark age? That was me o.o).

Hey while we are talking about this stuff.
I was just wondering.. are all variables global and could they be local?
I don't even remember if they can be either... man I need to reread the guide or something.

Oh, I understand. Yeah, I bet (after reading the previews) that DA2 will be better than DA1. So far, I can't complain much though. I'm only at the 2nd fight with Mortis, because after it said what I got after the battle was over, it did it over and over and over again, so I eventually had to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to exit, and I haven't played since then.
Oh, by the way, what are these emoticons for:
and the heart at the bottom?
I mean, why do you need them? You aren't here for friend finders, after all.

In TK2 they're all global.  It looks like in TK3 you'll be able to declare local variables as well.

Heh, working with that battle system was a nightmare...  I remember it took me days to get a program to cleanly follow a battle... and it seemed to behave differently in different situations.

Might have to fix that sometime...

Oh well, they'res better things in life. Off to find them.
I found one! It's on a shirt!

Try not to let your mind wander
It's too small to be out on it's own

Isn't it funny...? I've found a few more... Oh well, Tosoto or MOTD will start another argument about spam so I'll shut up...

On second thought.... JK Laughing

No, we won't start an argument. But Tosoto WILL be hacking your comp in an attempt to keep you as far away from these forums as possible.  Smile

Xorlak

So you are saying, Xorlak, that you may re-do Dark Age 1?
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Mark of the Dragon on September 21, 2003, 11:55:08 AM
If he were to redo Dark Age, maybe he'll make his own graphics and music for it. Hell, maybe even another custom BS!

I WISH!

I'm thinking about it.  At the very least I'd make a custom battle and menu system for it.

I need a vacation from this after Dark Age 2 is finished first, though...

Hah...a permanent vacation from the TK for me...I can't do this crap. I think I better just play it safe and stick with just doing one thing...even if it is character design, even though nobody really cares to request anything, and I'm never going to make any money off of it. Sad

Well, if it's not the thing that's aggrivating you, then you should try RPGCode designing, and (we all hate this) graphical design. Of course, you may not make cash off of it, but you never know, you could get a prize for being helpful.... If I wasn't too busy I would probally help out some with some fields, too, but I'm too busy on my own game

Well let's see... I waited something like three days after finishing Dark Age to start the next one, so...

Heh, I'm shooting for something longer than that...

LOL! Only 3 days? Hell, I'm too lazy to really work on anything anymore! It's been like 3 weeks since I even thought about the BS creation pack and my other projects!

Ok, maybe I'm not so lazy with martial arts and picking up chicks, but that doesn't count as working, does it?

I have to force myself to work on my game...... writing RPGCode and drawing tiles and drawing boards and making enemies and..... Well, it gets annoying.

SIT BOY!

Xorlak -> Lol!! Take at least a good week or two... or maybe three.... ya know whatever you like... You deserve it.

MotD -> No... No sir, I can't say that would qualify as working Wink

Trigunasha -> Y... no.... erm...... Rii-ghh-tt.....  You need to lay off, with watching Inuyasha.... it's starting to really mess with your head...

BS Creation Pak! COOL! I chould use that! I tried makeing a BS but I failed...Oh my I'm such a failer when it comes to RPGCode...But I'm good at makeing games...I think...I hope....

Well, there is probably going to be a lot of tweaking involved when you try to use the pack...I highly doubt that MotD (or Zero Entity as he prefers to be called now...e_e...stole my name that bastard did) would like to just hand you something THAT easy to use. I mean, it's a kit to help you make your own. Not a kit to do EVERYTHING for you.

Hey Brandon...yeah, he's right..."Zero Entity" is right...hey, wait, weren't you MegaZeroExe before? Zero Entity is mine, fool!

You know, there is a way to solve this problem. You register your trade mark and then sue everyone who uses it without permission. Hopefully, this is what they will do and boom, you are rich and can develop games for the PS2 or X-Box, or GameCube.

Post by: Cesque on October 03, 2003, 12:38:28 PM
Ha ha ha. Yep, all is right - except the fact that registration leads to, hmm... Funny situations.

We live in times in which most films, games, products etc exploited common and names... Think what happens after, let's say, 40 years. You'll make a game and you'd like to call it after something but due no all reserved marks you'll get to call it "Johny the Gardener in Crimson Robe", altrough hero is not a gardener, but a thief, he's name is not Johny but Claire, he wears no robe but jacket, and not crimson but black... Too bad "Claire the Thief in Black Jacket" is already used.

Lol... Smile Just had to say one of my favourite quotes about the fall of a modern world.

No pain, no gain, but do I look like I care?
Oh yeah, let me add something to that list: Rap.

Disturbed = Gods of Alt. Rock
Eminem = God of Rap
