Post by: Mark of the Dragon on March 24, 2005, 03:55:10 PM
I had a REALLY bad virus in the boot sector of my hard drive, and I had to perform a system restore, wiping my hard drive entirely, save for the original OS and login information. I had to re-install the Toolkit, and my game's files have not been backed up. I was almost ready to get a demo out, but this nasty virus was bugging me non-stop.

Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Also, I'll be in Colorado over Spring Break visiting my uncle, so I won't be able to work on my game AT ALL during that time.

Yeah ... that is no good. Maybe look into some spyware and virus protection software next time ... and ... back up regularly.

Really sorry to hear that.

What was the first? You and a girl within 10 feet of each other? LOL.

I doubt anyone would want to play a game set in landscape of obsidian blocks of flats and violet sand dunes, with babies with coins in ears and french female mysterious psychologists with their face covered with their yellow hair (The Ring style) plotting against tourist parties...

...so I can't say my dreams would be good source of inspiration.

Wow, excuse me for being off by 5 feet...

Post by: Dude Man on March 25, 2005, 10:22:42 PM
You are excused. But 5 feet is alot compaired to 10. If it were 100 feet it wouldn't make much of a difference.

(I know what to expect from this)

LOL. Well it's best if you just don't download the stuff, and make sure you allways delete your history by clicking on, Tools, Internet Options then delete cookies and clear history. Also go to Windows in the C drives and go to Temporay Internet Files and clear that out.

Not that I ever have to do that...no....not me....never....

Naugty boy you don't deserve cookies. In your hardrive or lunchbag.

Anyways, dream's being an inspiration? How? Dreams are a bunhc of stuff, literarly. They are symbols of what you did the the entire day.

But sometimes they can be put together in wacky ways. Some people have a special food they can eat before bed to have strange dreams. Dreams can make very good inspirations for horror stories. Very Happy

Well if they are images of what you did the entire day, then I must play to much computer.

The dream I had for TBW3 was in 3rd Person shooter vision and in movie vision and in real life, it switched around.

I think that dreams work excellently as inspiration.  In fact, my projects are almost entirely inspired by dreams.  Granted, I dream in 3-hour long movies, complete with cinematic camera angles.

Having dreams is a great inspiration for stories, I have several stories reserved that I have put together from dreams, it works

And dreammaker, why would you believe Cesque and not me when we basicly said the exact same thing

boy, grudges are fun, aren't they?

What a mornic thing to do, DMM. (I love that word Razz )

Anyways. Yes, dreams and good for stories. And I hope, I have another cool dream to give me ideas. Yet so far I have only had 1 idea. I had another one, but it didn't seem to have much of a point to it. It was about me and a groupd of people fighting a clan of Alien Ice Rock men, who took over the world. That story has been used, to many times.

No, we didn't!

You spoke total nonsense, while I created a realistic look at the overall situation.

And I, gave him tips on how to clear his history!

If you did what I told MotD every time your done on the internet the compy accually runs faster, and it somewhat prevents hackers. Very Happy

Cesque, our two posts complimented eachother, that is what matters.

And clearing your history doesn't get rid of the viruses

I'm sure I could give you a link to......
