Dot.tk is a redirection service. Everything with the tk extension uses this service. Nothing really special.

.com is a standard community website.

.net is used mainly for network stuff

.biz is for established business websites

.edu is education based stuff

.us is a US based site

.uk is a british based site

.kr is korean

jp is japanese

info is an information site.

You'll most likely want to use .com, .net, .us, or redirect through http://www.dot.tk
