Post by: Mark of the Dragon on June 01, 2005, 04:27:48 PM: Alright ladies and gentlemen, here's a tough challenge for you all. For this contest, I want you guys to make a remake of any commercially produced RPG, whether old-school or next gen. For next-gen games, you are more than welcome to dumb down the graphics to 2D if you must. As for old-school, keep it as true to the original game as you can.

Battle systems must function exactly like in the original game, even if there is some lag. Music must be either MIDI, MP3, or WAV files of the same music in the same game.

You are more than welcome to add your own features, though. Say if you wanted to add a "flirt system" to Final Fantasy 7 where Cloud would ACTUALLY flirt with Aeris, Tifa, or (god forbid) Yuffie if the player wanted.

The deadline will be a 3 year-one. Make these games good, people.

I might try and make, a remake of Mario RPG or one of those Pokemon Game Boy Adventures. I'll give somebody extreme respect if they can remake Fallout!

DMM, I don't like ripping off of other people; I usually prefer to do my own stuff, or actually get someone to make it exclusively for me; I don't use stuff that wasn't intended for my use in the first place.
