I'm trying to work on Trinon, it's just hard to concentrate on it.  For the default graphics contest, I'm working on a Frap/Tano adventure... heh.  It's going to be fun.

Frap/Tano adventure? You mean like a remake of The Jewal of Destiny, or something?

No... I'm not remaking Jewel of Destiny.  It's a new game... without a jewel.

I don't have much that I can tell about it...  I'm trying to think up a story (still way pre-alpha).  The only sure thing is that it will have some throwbacks to the Jewel of Destiny.

I'm working on another game similar to chimera's empire, but with RMXP tiles.  Only problem is I can't figure out how the interior tiles are supposed to look.  It's a lot different than anything else I've done before, and I'd really appreciate it if someone could post a picture of an interior board that uses RMXP tiles. Smile

Just something from Trinon.  Though that board probably won't survive to the end of development.  But there's your example.

(It seems too cramped at the top and a little too bare at the bottom.  It's still alpha.)

Ummm, I'm guessing you've never seen the RMXP sets Very Happy

Thanks Firestorm2005, it wasn't clear to me how they were supposed to look before, but that picture really helps.  Interesting way RMXP choose to display boards, but if it works for them it works for me Smile

Now to put things BACK ON TOPIC, there may be two others to be made with the tk, esp when the new version comes out: Robotrek II and Murder at Guilford Park(prelim title).
funny thing is i probably wont have a final demo until the vector collision is implemented Sad there will be hexagonal buildings, and such in some towns.  heck the game could be pretty much finished before 3.07 comes out.

New game i am working on not the longest game in the world but still gonna be fun none the less.
multiplayer game (up to 4 people take turns) contains 4 different characters you need to control in turn to complete the game. change char whn you like and also transfure items between the chars.
the reason it is only a short game is because it is my first major project that i am sticking to and i just want to really try out some of the stuff i have been working on and learned from playing other games!

I take it it's not on-line mulitplayer. Are you able to choose how many players you want? Or dose it have to be 4?

Post by: Goth-Kid on June 10, 2005, 05:41:16 PM
because it is only my first game i dont really want to make it to complex for myself so you just have to stick to the four chars given to you 2 males and 2 females. but if you think about it you and 3 of your m8s could hav alot of fun playing it!

Allright, not a prob. Me and Bro can have 2 charas each.

Post by: Goth-Kid on June 10, 2005, 06:00:05 PM
each char has their own skll and ability but all of that shall be reveiled on my website when it is up and running!
oh and another thing the chars go their seperate ways in this game but if this game is a success i shall be bringing out bigger sequals which will have chars walking on the same board.
hope no one minds! (if you do then i don't care because its my game and my rules)

Try <a href='http://www.crystalfibers.com' target='_blank'>Matrix Y2K</a>

And as for Frap and Tano (now called Frap and Tano: Back Again!), the story revolves around the war of cliches and originality (heh).  At the beginning of the game, every person you see and everything that happens will somehow be a cliche.  By the end of the game, more original (hopefully) things will happen.

Frap and Tano have to fight these cliches and win the war.  Therefore, they will own originality.  Or, if it needs to be said, they are the embodiment of originality.  They will meet people along the way, both original and cliche, that will join their party, and help them to win the war.

I just made that story up, as if you couldn't tell.
