Wow, we've been doing DAL for two years as of March 21st. 3500+ posts in 8 chapters and still going strong, too.

Huzzah. To celebrate, I'm going to list all of the characters that I've had, that I can remember off the top of my head.
Duilin, Darion, Patrick, Gedi, Nex, Veronika, Pophin, Frost, Bite, Darak, Scumfreeze, Rink, Maxwell, Marshal, Valos, Abodahon.
Half of those characters are dead. Those are also half of the characters that are dead in total! Heheh?

You think so? Well, maybe a little. But were still mostly about war and one-on-one battles to the death. (Heh...)
So what's everyone's favorite chapter/moment? There were a lot of fun parts for me, but I think the best was the second half of Chapter 3, with Iduran's dramatic death and the battles with Retan and his generals. Reading back on it seems really well written by everyone and well thought out, even though I'm pretty sure I was just winging it. (Heh...)

Well, I've got a list of favourite fights for each chapter?
Chapter 1: Scorch vs. Draven (the one after the huge flood that takes out Shin.)
Chapter 2: Nex vs. Zeros' (on the mountain.)
Chapter 3: Nex vs. Duilin (I wasn't involved to much in Chapter 3.)
Chapter 4: Frost vs. Kami-Ryu
Chapter 5: The battle against the Entity
Chapter 6: Duilin vs. Valos
Chapter 7: Duilin & Zeros' vs. Haraldur (Duilin hit Haraldur! z0mg!)
Chapter 8: Valos vs. Zion (so far, but that was a very good fight.)
I have noticed I need to win more player vs. player fights, heh.
But yes, I also liked the final scene of Chapter 3, mostly because it ended with Duilin flying off into the distance (carrying Nevina).

Well, it is definitely more politically sophisticated than before (Evil Empire against everyone else, then Evil Empire and Everyone Else all against Haraldur (still existing to an extent), then a complex series of tactical alliances and ceasefires, and in the last few chapters we have Imperialism, Fascism, Technocracy, Anarchism, discussion of Monarchy, Feudalism, Militarism, Pacifism etc).
I am enjoying the more recent chapters. Very Happy
Also, has everyone noticed how there is a trend with each chapter being longer than the first (apart from the few exceptions)?

But, yeah. One of my favorite moments is when Nex and Zeros' fight on the mountain in Chapter 2.

Yeah, well maybe something like that will happen again. Nex is back, but this time in the body of Valos. Nex is probably one of my favourite characters I've had. Duilin of course is my favourite, because I've had him since the beginning.
I've noticed that mostly the story revolves around Draven, Haraldur, Zeros' and Duilin. Those four would probably be the main characters, or at least the main listed ones. Like on a movie cover, it'd show those four at the front and then the actors' names who play them above and/or under them. Heheh.

Yeah, I'd probably be divided into several other movies. Probably not by chapter, judging Chapter 3 is longer then both 1 & 2 combined for example. And having a jump in length in a series is just down right nutty.

It'd be one of those redicuously long running anime series with story arcs classified into "sagas" and battles that last 20 episodes. (Heh...)
Or better yet, a comic book series. We should get one of those super talented guys over at TKZ's art forum to come over here and draw some panels.

Hey how many Dragon Ball Z characters does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Just one, but it takes 17 episodes.
Anyways. I'd say the best thing would be a game for DAL, but I'd be hard to make, because we'd probably have it so you'd be able to play as different characters.

OH SNAP. That was great.
And a DAL game would be pretty cool indeed. Like a Sonic Adventure dealie, maybe...
I think that Zeros' and Zion's battle against Neptra was pretty cool. Of course, Zion vs. Valos was great. It's pretty funny how the other two haven't had any real cool fights.
I guarantee you when Tsu fights Aura, it will change, though. Wink

...and he is forgotten by everyone. But, I am back. My internet's fixed now, and I should be posting regularly now. As for DAL, it's nice to hear that this RP has existed successfully for so long. My favourite part has to be Haraldur insulting Zeros'. That was fun.

You can't forget Abodahon insulting Draven, near the beginning of Chapter 8. That was sheer gold!

Abodahon then spoke. "I really don't see why you continue to trust people, you obviously don't have the correct people skills." He then motioned toward Valos to attack, still keeping an eye on the enraged man.
"Oh, it just upsets me to think how heart breaking your love life must be." The demon added mockingly.
I was trying to find a good example of Haraldur and Zeros' digging at eachother, but couldn't (man, that's a lot of text!)

In between these is Zeros' response. I think pages 120-121.

Oh yes, I also thought that having Duilin recite, The Lord Is my Shepherd, in Chapter 3 was pretty good.

I've been meaning to get around to cleaning it up, correcting spelling and grammar errors and merging it together...
... But yeah.
That'd take a lot of time.

Yes, I suppose it would take quite a bit of time. Even using a program with a spell checker. And TKGB the big page still contains the comments; it just doesn't have the avatar and signature stuff.
I've only loaded the big page, once. It took quite a few minutes for me see. I don't even want to think about how long it would have taken if I were still using dial-up.

I'm going to try and shoot for this weekend to start up chapter 9. Maybe sooner though, I think I'm going to keep the current rule set as it is.

Sick bowl (cool). I'll let Ein know that it should be up this week then. I haven't seen him online for a long time. Hope he'll be at school tomorrow.
Hopefully, next chapter, I will be able to go more in depth with Duilin's side story, and finally be able to narrow down my characters.

I joined without reading the whole thing, and now I'm pretty much part of the RP. Just read a few pages back, or even better, ask one of the guys to summarize it for you. Still, you should join. DAL is one of the more fun things I've done in a loooong time.

Several people join without reading the entire thing. We have chapter summaries, and you can just read the bios for Duilin, Haraldur, Zeros' and Draven and you'll basically get the jist of the entire story. But hey if you want go ahead.

Oh yeah, I just have to post this. This is my most favorite post I made in Chapter 7. (Warning: Coarse language)
Valos has just fired an attack at Laus he was charging for five or six posts, and the attack was just block. Xenai seeing this as being a crazy thing to do, jumps in front of him and starts yelling at him, after the blast has been fired.
Duilin, and the mages created a shield and the blade coming back to them smashed into the shield, causing all three of them to fly backwards. (It wasn't the sword that was blasted, it was just energy, the sword was used to shaped the energy and blast it.)
Valos looked at Xenai, with disgust. "Don't you dare talk to me like that, you ungrateful little shit! I know exactly what I'm doing!"
"Um, sir..." One of the mages said
"What!?" Valos snapped back, he was in a terrible mood.
"Um...it didn't work...sorry sir..." The mage flinched after saying that.
Valos' face turned red. "NOOO!!"
Duilin sighed. "Calm down, Valos. It's not the end of the world..."
"It might as fucking well be!!" Valos shouted. "Nothing we do works!" He then smashes his head down into his hands.
Rink finally catches up with the group. They have stopped moving. "Gee, good job Valos. That worked well."
"Shut the fuck up, you stupid imp!" Valos yelled. "I am not in the mood. Listen, I have just had almost my entire forces killed and a huge dark energy blade attack, just pissed back at me...."
"Geez, sorry." Rink snapped back. "Does anyone have any other ideas?"
"No, I am out of fucking ideas." Valos groans.
"Well, let's ask for Draven's help." Duilin suggested.
"Uhhgg...listen, he's trying all he can. I'll just have to report I have failed...There is no way to beat him. We've lost."
"Ooo, the great General Valos, gives up!" Rink laughed. "What an image for ya."
"Imp, you're pushing my nerves..." Valos then lies back on the air. His voice begins to calm down. "Aw, why don't we just fly into the island, and die fighting, we'll be more respected in death then in life...Unless somebody has a better idea..."
