I'm bored out of my mind. Let's talk about something meaningless.

What is everyone currently working on (game development-wise) and if so, post screenshots to show'em off!

Do it because I say so. Then yell at eachother about who's is better.

Fine, Here is the official Black Walkway preview picture. Which I just slopped together now. If you played the first one at all you should know whom all the characters are.

<a href='http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/5144/tbwprev6ww.jpg' target='_blank'>The Black Walkway REMAKE Preview Picture</a>

That odd thing in the corner is the new bither, and the thing lying down is a dead zombie.

This is a fake screenshot. But the real game should look somewhat like this. Don't tell me to improve my graphics because I am NOT going to remake them. I'm sick of having to start all over, because of crappy graphics and such.

(This should go in General Discussion)

I am a lurker and I am proud to be one! Although I used to take interest in making games, it proved too hard for me, and my "art" skills were insufficent for creating tiles and whatnot.

So what? Just download some, if you need any help with RPGCode just reference some from the shack. It's fine if you release a newb game, because then you'll learn some stuff and get better.

Take The Black Walkway for example, total crap of a game, but I learned a lot about game making and improved in my skills (in many things, such as art and even math and surprisingly spelling) So don't worry if you're no good, I say just go for it.

(Just for the record: surprisingly and reference were the only words that needed to be spelled checked  Wink )

(It's a miracle)

I still use RM2k but I lurk around here since I've been here so long.

I'll post some screenshots. Just not now since I'm not at my computer.

You better be speaking of the Mystic Software Community game. Because if you don't finish that game, I'll beat you senselessly with a large termite infested wooden plank (or a smelly tuna, depends on what is easier to get.)

Yeah....The Community Game.....

I haven't touched it but if you'd like I can show you a blank screenie of the first map in demo 2.

In truth I've been working on a different project. A better one.

I've made alot of progress beyond these, but since I, too, am not at my TK computer, this is the crap you'll be forced to deal with.  Smile

Yeah, I think you may have. I remember some site having a few laughs on my game. It was a negative review if I remember. I couldn't care less.

I'm a long-time member of that site.

If they left a bad review about the game than there's a good chance that it is in fact, bad.

No shit. It's my first game. But my opinion is that its crappiness give it humour. I played my old game a mounth ago, I laughed to myself about the spelling errors and the fact that I sensor very swear word, includeing damn about half way through the game, but right as you step through a door way in the pyramind, the hero exclaims "HOLY SHIT!" and you must fight a giant ripped graphic dragon. Gotta love the TK feal it has  Razz .

But yes, newbie games are allways good for a laugh.

Yes they are. But some newbie games are so bad it's just plain bad.

Some games shouldn't even be classified a game. Some are too short and would be better off being called a demo to throw people off! And some demos are too short to classify as anything!

I remember a toolkit demo I downloaded consisted of two maps and 1 #mwin code. Then it ended and I was all like "wtf?"
