i finally managed to delete WS FTP PRO but now when i type in ftp://www.mysticsoftware.net (http://ftp://www.mysticsoftware.net) it says type in my username and password and i do that...but it says that "could not login to the FTP server with the username and password provided" and i got an e-mail from spydey and even checked the site (what site?  Laughing ). thanks for any help

Yeah, DarkElite was having the same problem. I contacted rackhost.net about the problem, no reply yet. I'll try again tomarrow.

If you have XP Pro try opening it in internet explorer, that is what I do, then you log in under "file" and then just transfer your files over.

huh?? log in as file?? as the user name? i dont have xp pro, but i have been using internet explorer...

What I do is: type in ftp://haraldur.mysticsoftware.net (http://ftp://haraldur.mysticsoftware.net) in internet explorer
it is opened as a directory
I go to "file" on the toolbar at the top of the window and click it and choose "login as"
This brings me to a login window where I have to give my username and password
After I have logged in all I do is transfer over index.htm from my computer to the ftp account, and then I have a home page. Simple!

haha! but i have!  Very Happy  it has a tutorial for a lot of the programing laguages, PHP, java, javascrpit, DHTML, WHTML, Flash, Perl, Python, XML, WML, and multimedia.

anyways THIS DAMN SERVER HATES ME! IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING FTP PROBLEMS! OR DOES THIAS SERVER JUST HATE ME!?

i do everything right but it still says my account is not correct!!

DarkElite is having the same problems as you, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other new hostees are having the same problems. Cesque and Haraldur's sites seem to be working fine, so it must be something "really" recent that happened to the server. I'm still trying to get in contact with rackhost.net to figure out the problem. hopefully it will be resolved soon. We had a recent problem with the sub-domains not working properly too, and they fixed that fairly quick.
