I'm finally in my new aparment. My cell phone gets absolutely no connection except for outside, but so far everything else is ok. Took a bit to get the internet to work, but it seems to be good now. Now I just need to buy a couch....

YAY! Good for you, Spyder. Now if only my mom's roommate would pack her bags and leave so that I can finally move my Martial Arts Gear out of my room! My swords alone are enough to drive me crazy! I can barely move around with all the goddamn gear.

Hmm...katana, nodachi, and one I actually cannot name...damn.

I plan on getting a sakabatou at some point....'tis a reverse blade katana, meaning the normal cutting side isn't where it is on a normal katana, it's on the opposite side.

No, it's Daito (lg), Wakizashi (md), and Tanto (sm).

Actually, they do make Sakabatou's, and they have been around before, but Rurouni Kenshin is what made them popular these days.

I used to have 2 but they were fake. However my older brother in his house has several swords. There from The Lord Of The Rings. They are so cool!

Well, I always thought the Katana was a stand-alone sword; not part of a set of 3.

And by the way, Daito IS the correct name for the larger one. Sorry Spyder, but I have started taking classes in Swordsmanship, and the first thing I was taught was how to distinguish between the swords.

Woah, no need to get defensive man, I wasn't trying to say you were wrong, I've just always heard of the katana, as it's the most widely used name for samurai/ninja swords, as well as it was advertised as a katana on ebay. What's the difference if it's part of a set or not if it's the exact same sword? Wouldn't it be called the same thing?

Just looked around on Yahoo for a sec, and on this page (http://http://free.of.pl/h/hiro/ssglossary/glossary.htm) it says that a Daito can be either a Tachi or a Katana. A couple other pages I looked at said pretty much the same thing. We're both correct  Very Happy .

Another page with some good info (http://http)

I'd imagine katanas. You'd have to ask Indy to be sure though.
