Is it possible to make a iso game thats got no bugs?
Lion
-
No. Currently it is not really possible to create an iso game.
-
They're working on it though. There's like five or six people that are on the TK Dev team, working on various bugs, etc, so we can finally have a working TK3. It's probably going to take some time.
-
I do not think they are thinking about getting the iso to work until all the rest is done, which means Quintessance will take a lot longer than hoped.
-
Tkzone has a patch to download... fixing SOME bugs... But still, iso sux in tk3.
-
Iso? What's that?
-
Isometric.

This looks like a good spot to say hello... so hello!!
Haraldur said there were cookies here... so here I am! j/k Wink
Its a great place ya got here! Many a TK game I have downloaded from these archives!
Aye - isometrics are on the mend, hopefully it won't be too long before an update comes out. I'm pretty sure that isometric games will be viable in the TK3... at some point in the not-too-distant future!
And Quintessence is progressing well... relatively speaking! But it may be some time yet, I'm afraid.

The allmighty Delano, yeah! (cheers).
Sure it's a kewl place. Laughing
Whoa, if an update for tk3 comes out, I'll lost my argument why I'm not working on game. Not good.
-
DM: iso= isometric
-
I'm 100% positive that another update will come out for the TK3, possibly even by CBM himself, but Im just unsure about how long it may take.
-
Updates will come, unless the great ogre of apathy infects the developers.
Welcome Delano!
-
Isometric? What's that?
-
Isometric is definately a growing area, it's my main focus at the forum and site to promote and improve.
The fixes myself and Delano have made to the board editor and trans3 for isometric would contribute to a good TK3 update.
We'll probably submit to CBM soon once we have a few more aspects covered, I know CBM is keen to keep admining code.

Dose that answer my question? What is iso?
-
i already said that iso=isometric for short above!!
-
Yes, but then Dude Man said what is isometric. Isometric boards is the new feature in TK3 that allows you to create false-3D boards by basically drawing tiles diagonally. Games that are isometric include SimCity, Diablo, and Command and Conquer. If you look at screenshots for games like Quintessence, those are isometric boards. You should have learned about isometric stuff in school, such as in Math and Art classes.

It's good to hear cbm's still involved in the official releases. An update would certainly encourage a lot more people to try it out!
And hopefully more updates will follow - there's definitely a lot more to do, but I think more progress is possible. Hopefully people won't lose interest in it!
Sim City 2000 was the best!
-
Yes it was a good game I guess.....I just thought it got quite boreing after you built a desent city and if you have disaters off.....very boreing....
