Post by: Mark of the Dragon on April 21, 2004, 07:22:59 PM
That's right. Ive deleted the toolkit. I figure, if I can become a flat-out composer for the community, I could do some REAL good for you guys. Besides, the old composers (X and Rueben) dont show their faces anymore. And I haven't seen teh Reeves Brothers in a while.

Leave feedback here.

I don't think you should give it up, just set it aside. I do believe the community could use a composer though. Ever thought of doing a music pack for a resource site in desperate need of resources?  Razz

Hmm. I might need some music for SL in next 20 years, MotD.

Hmm. Pity. Another one loses faith.

I didn't lose faith in the Toolkit. Just in my ability to make a FULL game. I decided that if I get good enough in resources, I might increase my overall game-making ability, and then I might make a full game.

Okay. Just I want to be the guy who finishes his games! I want to be the finishing his game guy! So far I have one game up for download, it's not really the best game in the world if you know what I mean. But my later games will be MUCH better. I don't think I'm going to have a custom BS in my games unless I can make one better then the defalt one, and well I acually think it's one of the best ones

1-DA2 BS
2-D&c BS
3-4th Demention BS
4-Defualt BS

Those are the only good one's I have seen!

This only reminds me I'll need to get some BS for my game...

As for menu system, I might make a DA2-esque one... heh.

D&C BS has crappy graphics. But DA2's and 4th Dimension's systems ROCK!

Yeah I guess. But I like D&C one! I wonder if Xorlak will make BS like the DA2 one but it has more then 1 charactor! And have you noticed that almost all of the BS's that you can download are no good! Well if there not as good as the defualt one then there no good, because I don't care if a game has an original BS, just as long as it has a GOOD BS! That's why I'm never going to put and original BS in my games because I know I can't make one better then the defualt one Laughing! Hey Maybe MotD can make some really cool BS that's better then the defualt one, that we can download or something

Default BS sux the most, for one, simple reason.

It's uncustomizable.

You can download some far worse BS, but still you can open up and change the code to add elements you want. Resistances, limit breaks, critical hits, whatever. You can't do that in default BS, because it's not even done in rpgcode but in V-basic.

Yeah but still, the defualt one can be okay. I like it! You can change the background and the buttons. But that's all. There ARE criticals but no limit breaks however...

Actually, with a bit of programming, you can add things like that to the default BS.

Duh, just have a running total of damage for  when it gets to a certain level, like 2.5 times the max hp (that is my test setting right now).  when the level meets or exceeds it, redirect it to the limit programs and the total resets and begins totalling after he limit tech is used up.  © AlienDude

It's about time i said some progging stuff.

As i said millions of times before, i will be able to do this stuff in a month or two (need another job for cash).  Anybody wants me to design a Web page, pm me, my damn e-mail is experiencing problems again.  my friend's computer is good but i can go over ther only like once a week.  I can do the web editing over there.  i have a few books i should be all right.

As you may have heard im doing a little midi stuff to.  im using my down time right now to learn som more music theory and such.  and how to fix computers and electronics btw  might get a cert.

Good luck with the music!!!

KNow any music theory type websites.  also a site that shows the frequncies of the different notes.  Thanx.

Right now it's only in my game (Deluted Arisings) but if anyone wants I can package it up and write help files.
