Smile your comic was the inspiration for the birth of Pieman!
I remember reading all ur comics(11) on my first visit and was inspired to make a comic of my own. TK members say that pieman rocks, and i believe em, but i would also like ur opinion
heres the link <a href='http://www.sitemonster.net/sitemonster/sites/Alex0Xander/noimage_0.html' target='_blank'>clicky</a>  B)

Not bad. But from now on, try using BBCode or just type the URL, as HTML doesn't work on these forums (at least to my knowledge).

*Is thinking about making comics for his site*

...nah

Too much work

Post by: Cuzit on August 21, 2003, 05:48:11 PM
As soon as I get a scanner, they'll be comics on my site (<a href='http://clik.to/mattgames/' target='_blank'>http://clik.to/mattgames/</a>) But they won't be comics like Sophia's, they'll be more like comic-book-style.
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Cuzit on August 21, 2003, 05:50:21 PM
But thanks to the link that keeps saying the page cannot be found, I found my old site! I am now in the process of remodling it into MattSoftware's brother site, and it will have extras, goodies, backups, and loads other.

I guess I could try Anime-Style comics on my site.

BakaNeko, don't close down on me now.

BakaNeko?

Post by: Mark of the Dragon on August 22, 2003, 08:59:48 PM
It's an anime tutorial site. I've been using it for a while.

<a href='http://www.bakaneko.com' target='_blank'>http://www.bakaneko.com</a>
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Anonymous on August 22, 2003, 09:29:48 PM
lol!!

Bakaneko?

That's pretty odd named site. Why would they name it that?
Hmm.. I'll never get some people.

*laughs*

Go to the site and figure out for yourself why it's called that.

Post by: Anonymous on August 22, 2003, 09:45:56 PM
Did,

I got the whole neko thing. But beyond why they threw in baka, I dunno. No big deal though.

I waste to much money! I could've went to this site before I spent $10.00 on a Anime book that wasn't near as good!
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Anonymous on August 22, 2003, 10:25:05 PM
Be glad you only spent that much.

I knew a guy that spent like $150 bucks on one,
Then he lost it and found it again like four years later, all torn up. -_-

Sucks for him.

Another good anime tutorial site is <a href='http://www.polykarbon.com' target='_blank'>http://www.polykarbon.com</a>
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Anonymous on August 22, 2003, 10:30:19 PM
Yep!!

Polykarbon was the first anime tutorial site I ever went to.
My only problem is they lack a lot of variety. They usually have a couple  tutorials over each type of sketch, although it does give you a nice perspective view of how you could draw.
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Mark of the Dragon on August 22, 2003, 10:38:43 PM
I don't use polykarbon that much, really. Normally it's just for guides on doing special effects in photoshop (energy blasts and such)

Post by: Cuzit on August 23, 2003, 12:07:13 AM
well, the URL might be obvious, and it's advertising a how to draw kit that I think might be useful if I bought stuff off the internet. The book alone is $20.00, but it's got like I don't know how many pages, and it has a bunch of different kits you can choose from that are nice that includes the drawing book. The link is <a href='http://www.howtodrawmanga.com' target='_blank'>here</a>. If you want to buy it, it'd be nice.

I'm reopening this topic with all the offensive post + any replies to them removed...

I hope you will all let this pass on... Off topic is one thing, but turning other people's post into a battle ground is not acceptable? not to mention a complete disrespect for the original poser.

If you guys still need to take some steam off this, maybe the chit chat board will be more appropriate... if not, just do it somewhere else, but not here.

I'm sorry, but I can't even begin to comprehend this...it makes no sense whatsoever!

That was for "peace on world" for his war on terrorism (actually I don't know what he done except saying the same phrase a lot of times and murdering some villagers "accidently").

Not to mention tortures they use on folks (not really physical, but keeping prisoners in front of extremely bright lamp, not allowing them to sleep for days, launching metal music at full power - yeah, I heard that too Smile I have nothing against metal, obviously)... There was reportage on BBC about a taxi driver who was driving with terrorist suspect, and his family fought for weeks about his release - luckily he got released, finally, but first they didn't even want to hear a word.

Obviously it's nothing compared to what Iran's military police SAVAK done during shah's rule (shah was bad, now theocracy is only slightly better)... But I don't think such a country should become a paranoic guardian angel of the world.
