My favorte song would have to be....
Jurasic Park, By Werid Al! B)
-
Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park...for obvious reasons
*stares at cuts on arm*
-
I see....
Jurasic Park is frightning in the dark!
All the dinosaurs are running wild!
Someone let T-Rex out of it's pen!
I'm afraid those things I'll harm me!
Cause they sure don't act like Barny!
And they think that I'm there dinner, not there friend!
Oh No!

Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park...for obvious reasons
*stares at cuts on arm*
Everyone seems to love this song, and honestly, it's the one song I remove from my playlist when I add Linkin Park to it (which is quite often, as they're my favorite band B) ). IMO the rythym is too fast for the timing of the words...
Not sure if that explains it well. I suppose if I were more musically talented I'd be able to tell you...but then if you believe some of the people over at the TKZ's forums, if I were more musically talented, I wouldn't like Linkin Park...
I suppose it could be the lack of cuts on my arm though...
As for my favorite song, there are really far too many to choose. But since I do have a favorite band, I'll list a handful of my favorite songs from them Very Happy
In no particular order...
With You
Crawling
In The End
Place for My Head
Pushing Me Away
And One
Dedicated
Don't Stay
Faint
Figure.09
From the Inside

-
No songs by Werid Al!? Werid Al is the best man! The BEST!
-
Weird Al is pretty good; I haven't bought his Poodle Hat CD yet...I just have Running with Scissors and Weird Al in 3-D
-
Hmmm... Coldpay is new, Red Hot Chili Peppers still exist, Suddenly Cult are new, Sigur Rós are new, The Darkness are new, the Eels are new, Tenacious D are new, Nirvana are not exactly old...
-
Yeah, I like the colplay, RHCP, and Nirvana tracks you listed. Do you listen to Dave Matthews? If not, you might like a few of his tracks.
-
Never herd of Dave Matthews, what kind of music dose he make?
-
Dude Man: Ditto.

I notice "easier to run" isn't listed...that's my second fav, and personally I think it's their most powerful.
-
So, Haraldur, you like the old stuff? LOL, try the new.
Is there anything wrong with old music? Razz
-
i personally dont like it much
-
How much of The Who have you heard? Have you heard any Led Zeppelin? Not heard much Black Sabbath? Sex Pistols? Lynyrd Skynyrd are less famous than they deserve. No Pink Floyd?
-
The Reason .... i dont know why...but i can just relate to it well....
-
Another favorite song that I have, is Bohemin Rapscity, By Queen and Bohemin Poka, By Werid Al. Bohemin Poka is the same but it was funny song effects in it and also it has a faster tempo, it's just as good!
Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy? Chought in a land slide! No escape from reality!
-
Open your eyes. Look up to the skies and seeeeeeeee!
Hmm.... I think there was already a thread where we did this Razz
-
I like Weird Al, but most of the songs are parodies, so the tunes are the same.
-
Some of his stuff is original, though. Heh.
-
Does he still make songs?
-
I think he does; he just released Poodle Hat last year; he's probably working on his next CD now. Of course, I'm too busy keeping up with Disturbed right now, heh.
Speaking of which, they found a new bass player. He was formerly from "The Union Underground" - John Moyer. Now, personally I want to know what Fuzz is up to now.
-
He's got tons of original songs! Young Dumb And Ugly, Dare to be Stupid, Albaqekry(sp?), Waffle King, and much, much, much, more....
-
OH! OH! DOULBE POST! OH OH DON'T CARE!
Well you know what's a sad song?
Terminator Theme (http://http://mysticsoftware.net/uploads/Terminator.zip) That song all ways brings a tear to my eye.... Sad
-
I just downloaded .... err... bought (Honestly Wink) Breaking the Habit.
'Tis a great song Very Happy
-
LOL, yep it is. That's why it's my fav...as well as the cuts on my arm <_<
-
Yeah, Easier to Run is definately a good song as well. Honestly, I like every song they've made, including Breaking the Habit as far as it's lyrical content is concerned, but I don't like the fast tempo of the music, with the slow tempo of the lyrics. It doesn't match up IMO.
Asimir, not sure what kind of connection you have, but if you have broadband, you should download the music video for Breaking the Habit. It goes fairly well with the lyrics, and if you like Anime, you'll really like the video as they got some famous anime artist to make it.
-
Yeah, that was a great video Smile
-
I'm searching on Kazaa..... uhh... I mean looking on music video channels now.
-
I just watched it. It was good.
There was a thing near the start that looked like a blitzball arena Razz
MotD, do you really cut yourself, or is that just a joke?
-
Two of my favorite LP videos are "In the End" and "Faint".
From what I've seen on the "MotD made a smart move!" thread, MotD has some issues, and I wouldn't really be surprised if he's a cutter.
-
Yes, I really have cut myself. I've stopped, though.
-
All I like is Japanese music...really...some of the other stuff to, but Japanese is cooler...heh....
-
You should listen to "Nobody's Listening", then. Heh.
-
I know this is going offtopic, but why did you cut yourself? Does it make you feel better somehow, or what?
Bleh, it's a weird question.
-
From what I understand, it's basically if you create physical pain, you focus more on it than you do the mental pain.
Good movie to watch is "Thirteen", which is about a girl who has quite a few problems in her life, involving drugs, alchohol, stealing, peer preasure, a father that is not around, etc; and she is a cutter.
-
Yes. Also, the sight of one's own blood, as long as it's not gushing, can be relaxing in a way...I know it's weird, but it's relaxing.
-
That's a pretty messed up way of relaxing, my friend. I relax by laying down on the couch or on my bed, and listen to Music, Werid Al. Muisc is usealy relaxeing, cutting your arm, is werid...
-
Try being depressed and hating life...I was in the hospital for a few days because of that. When you're as depressed as I was, then you can tell me if cutting is relaxing or not, ok?
Im on zoloft now, so don't anyone say I need meds, k?
-
You don't need meds. you need therapy.
-
It seems to me that there are many people in the USA contemplating suicide, committing self harm and on anti-depressants. Why is this? I know some people do not like Michael Moore, but could this be something to do with the climate of fear he claims the USA has? Or maybe I just live a sheltered life-style.
-
Im getting therepy Spyder, and I'm recovering.
-
Good, good. All good. Now let's get back on topic!
I like cheese! Oh wait that is also of topic...ummm.....
ACDC RULES!!!!
-
AC/DC sux, in my opinion.
-
LOL. If you said that over at my old school (the school I just graduated from) you would get your circle beated! Well not really but, you would get told off, sorta, but we were all good nice funny people...I'm gonna miss that place....
-
I'm not real fond of AC/DC either, but I didn't grow up on them either, and that's usually why the younger generations like them when they do.
-
LOL. I didn't grow up with much music, sadly. I just got into Disturbed in May 2003, and then my tastes in music evolved from there. Linkin Park, Metallica, and Disturbed still stand as my favorite bands now.
-
Spydie, I downloaded a live performance of Breaking the Habit from Kazaa which was slower and softer (Well, a recording of a Live Performance. They don't actually play for me whenever I play the song.) You might like it.
The filename was "Linkin Park- Breaking The Habit- live.asf"
-
My favorites, no order:
P.O.D. - Boom
Eminem - Without Me
Sum 41 - Fat Lip
System Of A Down - Chop Suey!
Something Corporate - If U C Jordan
Papa Roach - Walking Thru Barbed Wire
Mest - It's Over

Isn't Kazaa free? You could just download it.

Yeah, I like all those bands. Here are a few more of my favorites...
Rage Against the Machine
System of a Down
Tool
A Perfect Circle
Deftones
Godsmack
POD
Adema
Bush
Cake
Creed
Evanescence
Nirvana
Staind
-
I have nowhere to upload it. Sorry Sad
-
I can give you access to MS' server if you want to upload it. That would insure we get the same file as you, and be a lot easier than trying to find it on Kazza.
-
Very Happy
-
Isn't Kazaa free? You could just download it.
I don't think everything is, but I don't know for sure.
-

Okey doke.
-
Isn't it spelt Okie Dokie?
-
No, it's spelt Hokey Pokey. Razz
-
LOL. The Hokey Pokey, song! That song's funny. LOL, Kids songs.....
-
Kazza is completely free as far as I know....I certainly haven't paid any money. I use Kazza Lite K++, which is an even better version of Kazza than the normal one, because there is no ads, no spyware, and you can "Search More" unlimited times, giving you much more search results, which in the end, translates to higher download speeds (on broadband anyways).
-
Same here. Only it's spelled "kazaa" I guess. I use lite K++. And bearshare, at time.
-
Added:
Blur: Song 2
Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger
Franz Ferdinand: Take Me Out
Look Around You: Little Mouse
Monty Python: Lumberjack Song, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life, The Meaning Of Life, Every Sperm Is Sacred, The Universe Song
-
Songs, huh?
SoaD: (Editor: Censored) the system
SoaD: I-E-A-I-A-I-O
SoaD: Chop Suey
Metallica: One
Aphex Twin: Come to Daddy
Weird Al: Pretty Fly for a Rabbi
-
I-E-A-I-A-I-O is a really weird song.
-
Aphex Twin? I didn't know you liked techno. I have their tracks "On" and "Hot Buttered Popcorn".
Downloading "Come to Daddy" now.
As for System of a Down, I also like the following tracks...
Snowblind
Spiders
the metro
war
ATWA
-
Hey Asimir, u uploaded yet?
-
It's not on the server yet as far as I can see, so I don't think he's started yet.
-
No. I was sleeping, then working on breakout. But now I have more time for breakout, so I'll upload now.
-
Cool. Do you have broadband? I'm uploading a FFVII: Advent Children trailer that I got of Kazaa, that someone got off GameSpy. It's a 70MB Quicktime file...going to take 1.5 to 2 hours on cable =/. But my upload speed is really slow, so that's why. Only uploading at about 12-18 Kb/sec. It's a damn good looking trailer though.
-
It's uploaded. I don't know what the url will be though.
Spyder? Razz
-
Uh oh...your going to have to re-upload it man. I should've told you you have to put everything into the public_html directory. Otherwise it can't be accessed.
Not only that, but less than 1MB of the file got uploaded, so it doesn't even work, lol. I thought that was kind of fast.
-
Gah. oops Razz
-
k, uploaded again.
-
Again, you've only uploaded ~600 kb of the file, which is probably 30+ MB's in size. Come on now man, do you really think it would only take less than four minutes to upload a music video?
-
That's how big it is. I thought it was a rather small file, but I just assumed .asf files were small (I've never heard of them before, so bleh.)
-
er....no. That must be a shortcut to a movie on the internet, not an actual movie file. Where did you get the file from?
Edit: LOL, that's not a movie, it's a sound file.
-
I got it off kazaa. If it doesn't work, I don't know what to do. Works fine for me :S
-
It works, but it's only sound....I assumed it was a video since it was in ASF format.
-
Oh, no. No video.
-
I should probably post the link eh? Razz
Linkin Park- Breaking The Habit- live.asf (http://Linkin Park- Breaking The Habit- live.asf).
It's a bit better than the one on the album, but I still think the tempo needs to slow down to the speed of the singing.
-
What link, man? There's no link.
-
My favorite is Fly From The Inside by Shinedown... actually, it's tied with Anthem of Our Dying Day by Story of The Year. Second favorite is Phoenix by Breaking Point.
-
Yeah, Spyder, the link is, the code for the link...better fix that...
-
Got you all beat-"Until it Sleeps" by Metallica. There are a few others but that one changed my life, had meself a girlfriend cuz of that song Very Happy B) . And it owns all!!
