Among these, FF 3/6. Dark Age series are also nice  B)

But as I always say - "StarCraft, Dungeon Keeper, Blood Omen" is my favourite game trinity.

Those are all my favorites...I still have them all...except some of them are emulated on ROM's....and there somewhere in my PC...but right know im playing Disgaea:Hour of Darkness. Its a good SRPG (Strategy RPG) better then Final Fantasy Tactics.

Alot better.

Heh...you probably should've left FFVII off there..., you probably would've got more varied results.

yea, I voted for FF7.  That's about the only one on there that I really like.

And for Zeros'
What kinds of ROMS do you got?  I can't get any for pretty much anything above the PS1 and N64. I know I shouldn't ask, but I just can't help myself.  and for some reason, teh ones on ROMNation.net don't work! (The NES, SNES, and all the older ones in the top section do though..)

Try this site. I only downloaded Paper Mario 64, but I mostly downloaded SNES ROMS...I had over 50 or so...my favorites were...

Bahamut Lagoon (SNES) Made by Squaresoft. (Good game, need a translation, get it from www.dejap.com (http://www.dejap.com))
Tales of Phantasia (SNES) Made by Namco. (Tales of Destiny series, and just released Tales of Symphonia for Gamecube. www.dejap.com also)
LIVE 4 EVIL (or Live 4 Live) Made by Squaresoft. (Need a translation also, try looking on internet) I cant remember the name, but try searching on the net for "LIVE a LIVE"

Those are all I can think of...

I think I have over 100 SNES roms on my comp. Favorites are FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire II, Mario Kart, Mario RPG, DKC 1+2, Secret of Mana, and Secret of Evermore. I have a PS2-USB adapter, so I can use my PS2 controller to play the games....much easier than a keyboard, and quite similar to an SNES controller. I used to have six or seven N64 roms, but the Glide wrappers that are available arn't really compatible enough with all the games. It's too bad there's not an N64 emulator out there that works as well as ZSNES or SNES9x. I used to have Bleem, and another PSX emulator for PSX games, but what's the point when I can hook my PS2 directly to my computer.

Judgeing that I have only played 4 of those on that list. I'm going to have to say Other...

Fallout, Fallout 2 and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. How come you didn't list MLSS(and it's the best MarioRPG) but you did list SMRPG and Paper Mario. (Paper Mario was the worst Mario RPG)

Who voted Suikoden 3 anyways?

But some of the ROMS I had are REALLY REALLY hard to find...Actually Spydey the proper term for PSONE games is PSONE, not PSX. THe PSX is a new playstation that sony is calling the "Playstation 2.5"....I think....

ahhh, Fallout 2.  I totally rock that game.  Beat it so many times over, than I jus thad to go and beat all teh side quests and find everythig.  Than I had to go back and modify everything and make it even better, lol.  I love beating teh shit outta some game, than modding it with my own tools and enhancing just about every aspect of it.

Actually the PSOne is just the newer version of the original PlayStation, technically the proper term is PlayStation games. Not only that, but the PSX media center that your reffering to is only in Japan, and it plays PS2 games, not "PSX" games. Additionally, the original PlayStation has been referred to as the PSX for more than a decade, and as the PSX media center will never be released here in the US, and as everyone knows that acronymn "PSX" is reffering to the PlayStation, PlayStation games can still be reffered to as PSX games. Sony isn't calling the PSX "PlayStation 2.5", they call it the PSX, and it's not a new PlayStation, it's the same PS2 hardware, with additional components that make it a DVR and MP3 player as well as a PlayStation. Essentially an early PS3 prototype.

And yeah, ROMS are a pain in the ass to find compared to five years ago, where you could download litterally thousands of roms off just one website.

Yeah really. Now most sites say "Please vote before downloading" and after you vote they say "You didnt vote right! You have to do it right to get the download!" and most of the vote links have links that have links to hentai/porn sites.

Did I hear the word hentai? * sniffs *

It's better than on polish sites... "Send SMS from cell phone under adress 4567 to download game".

Yeah, SMS is just the technical term for text messaging.

3/6, but also 5, it had classes, nuff said.  2 was ok, a little too linear for my tastes.  I like the suikoden series, my friend has them.  Interesting gameplay.  getting all 108 stars...hmmmm.
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Zeros' on July 27, 2004, 09:24:08 PM
Actually classes were first introduced into FF1 (yes the original) and then agian in FF3, the true FF3, released in 1990 for the Super Faicom ONLY in Japan. And then the REAL FF2 was released in FF Orign's for the PSONE along with FF1.

I hated FFs before FF4 because they had crappy BS.

Of course game as legendary as original FF1 (long live Garland!) has it's re-makes with super-quality BS and new graphics... There was one cool Wonderswan version and they made some other re-makes... Obviously I don't have any consoles nor emulators to see them.

Why do you have a folder named Tosoto, is that your real name? Or is that just what you like to call yourself? Because the TK commuinty and the C&C commuinty are the only places I'm know as Dude Man. Well maybe the Digimon community but, most people over there call me Galaton, I supose... <_<

If I posted a pic of my hack machine's desktop you'd be amazed.  Other than it being freaking huge (I got it hooked up to a nice 27" color TV), it has almost no icons on good days.  They stay hidden, surprisingly.  but sometimes, I open the folder for them al and dump them back onto the desktop and watch it fill.  Hack days are so fun!  I got like 50 icons jsut for misc. software, than I got like 5 folders for hacking proggs, than I got my hex editors, trojan editors, and Visual Basic.  Than there is the quick link to all the Macromedia programs for quick uploading of my required log files, lol.  *sigh*  just a LOT of stuff on those days...

That's got to suck. The visual quality of TV's is crap compared to a monitor. The only TV's I'd be able to stand having my computer permanently hooked to would be an HDTV using a DVI cable.

Fire Emblem? Just look around...on wrong profile, I had some ROM sites on my favorites, but im on my profile (usually use my brothers) that has ROM sites, you could probably find it if you looked around.

Fire Emblem was one of the best strategy RPG's that came out, X-Play (Adma Sessler and Morgan Web) gave it a 5/5, (which means its PERFECT) but I like emulators becasue you can save a state right in the middle of battle, which helps in this game, becuase if someone dies, you lose them forever.

Post by: Dude Man on July 29, 2004, 05:43:57 PM
So they accually DIE, not just getting knocked out.

They do that in Fallout aswell....Makes more sence that way aswell. I wish you could do that in RPG Toolkit with the default BS. That should be a featrue in TK3, a dieing program!!!
Title: (no subject)
Post by: Zeros' on July 29, 2004, 06:34:18 PM
You can do that in a custom battle system, very easily. And yes, they actually die, they disappear, they don't come back, so you have to be careful about where you move them.

Save your state OFTEN, trust me. Ive had to reload a battle 3 times because I messed up with my state saved...and also, make a seperate state for when your at the battle screen, so you dont have to go through the story sequence.
