Title: (no subject)
Post by: Cesque on August 06, 2004, 01:08:01 PM
Go to someone's profile, and check amount of posts in forum one's most active in, then based on percentage these posts are of total 100% of posts, count all the post amount.

For example, I have 362 posts in general discussion archive, which is 23% of all my posts. This makes me have, totally, about 1573 posts... Wait a second. It sounds a bit too low for me, as far as I remember...

Nevermind, forget it. Maybe they clean the archives or something if topics get too old.

Anyway... I tried  Razz

Dude, it doesn't even work properly (where are the missing posts? Do they put 22% tax on post amount?), so there's no point in disabling that.

Umm...Accually I think Asmir is right because they way you calculated it was the way to caluate the precent of 23/362

Dammit...

362 - 23%
x - 100%

x = (362 * 100) / 23 = 1573.

1573. Amen.

I don't think that will work. I haven't checked, but I don't think those numbers are updated since post counts have been removed.

Hey! The numbers are not - but the percentages are  Very Happy

I still have 362 posts listed on forum I'm active on... but now it says it's 24%.

Hmm? Divide the number by the percentage... wouldn't that get you the total post count?

362 * 100/24 = 362*4.167 = 1508.3 posts.

Very Happy

I did this a couple years ago, so that may not be right.  But I'm pretty certain it is.

I never even took Algebra 2 in High School, unless your Algebra goes by semesters (ie Algebra 1 1st semester, Algebra 2 2nd semester). I took a year of Algebra, and a year of Geometry, which was the miminum requirements to graduate, and that was enough for me.

SPYDER! That is not cool!

The requirements here in Maryland are 3 years of math in high school!

I did Geometry and Algebra II so far, and next year I'm taking College Algebra.

Heh, that sucks. How many total credits did you guys need to graduate? I needed 21 out of 24.

Other Reqirements -
3.5 Years English
2 Years Science
2 Years Math

I can't remember the rest

Honestly though, the 3 years of math will definately help you out. When I started college, I had no idea what the guy was teaching, and in fact, he wasn't really teaching anything. Just giving us assignments that we were supposedly supposed to know how to do. I didn't start really understanding anything until about half way through the semester.

Huh... The staff in US is weird  Very Happy We get to choose "profile" in Poland in 1st or 2nd class of high school, which determines how many hours or what subject we'll have. Like, mathematical profile with more hours of more advanced math or computer technology and such.

Graduate? You mean... hmmm... finish school or what? We just need not to have F mark from any subject at the end of year.

And whenever you go to university or not depends on number of points from matural exams.

Well, failing (at all of the schools I've been to, anyway) is below a C-... in fact the Junior High I went to didn't give out Ds. "Failing's failing" they said. Not that it mattered to me Razz

Universities here ask for applications, then we submit them with records of grades and such,

F is a fail and anything higher is a pass. For me, there are only 2 grades!

<span style='color:blue'>Pass</span>...

...and <span style='color:red'>Fail</span>!

Go to someone's profile. Click on 'view all posts' or whatever it is.
Then go to the last page, and work it out based on how many pages there are and how many posts on the last page.
