Could you remove the Minisets download? It was one of the many exclusive sets by Triuken at TKZ, and someone has simply downloaded it and directly submitted to MS.

It even includes the TKZ readme still, heh. Dunno why the person did it, but whatever.

Thanks.

I always knew Spyder was downloading your files and putting on MS. Razz  It's an old technique called "Season of Harvest".

They're colloquial words, just a bit of fun.

Ta = Thanks

M' = My

Duck = Darling (usually used referencing to women or adults to children.)

Pronounced: Tar muh-duck.

Old school English.

In the same way judges are sometimes called M' lud (My lord).

Well, believe it not Spyder the English spoken back in the days of medieval England is at most unrecognisable to that of now.

Languages evolve...but it's always fun to hark back to at least the Victorian era.

Here is a sample from the an old English bible (A.D. 400 to 1100), the opening lines of genesis.

"Us is riht micel ðæt we rodera weard, wereda wuldorcining,  wordum herigen, modum lufien!  He is mægna sped, heafod ealra heahgesceafta, frea ælmihtig."

Luckily the Normans (French) came along in 1066, conquered England and help sculpt the language - since it's current form was heavily influenced by all the Viking occupation over the centuries.

I don't know much about the history of the language...but I watched what turned out to be a suprisingly interesting documentary on it once.

Hmm... my english teacher was studying some ancient english and she also told us something about english evolution... Something more precisely about how latin "cor" evolved into "heart", oh well.

Only old english quote I know is "Methinks it's like a weasel." Razz

Strange that in year 400 in England they had Bible in their original language!

America conquered The Phillipines? I didn't know that. o.o. That's sad, I don't even know what countries America has conquered, even though I live in it. What have they been teaching me in History Class? o.o

Heh.. I'd look smarter if I never opened my mouth. XD

I don't think they "conquered" the Phillipines, they probably ousted some regime leader

You American's are always Conquering places. Like the Brit's and the Spanish in the old days. You also take credit for winning World War II when it was really us Canadians... <_<.

Winning? I prefer term "finishing", as world war was truly ended by British and Soviets which ended Hitler's plans for world domination.

...well, not technically conquered through blood..although there were American-Filipino wars that occured in local sites. The Philippines went under American government after a 300-year Spanish colonization. America negotiated and managed to "buy" the Philippines from Spain. The alliance has strated and the Commonwealth government was formed. Americans taught Filipinos the western ways of politics,education, and governance. It has latter evolved and Filipinos petitioned for independence..and Americans gave it, althought there are still American military bases left.

Oh and Japan got hold of us too. They drove away Americans..thus marking one of history's greatest quotation: "I shall return!"-Col. Douglas MacArthur

I am sure I saw a TV program about a Maoist revolution in the south of the Philippines. Is that true? And, if it is true, how connected with the Cold War is it?
