Serge, who is a writer over at tk_gaming, has written a damn good preview of what's to come with the release of TK 3.0.4. Make sure you check out all the incredible features it will include.

Ooh. DA looks pretty good in it.

Doesn't seem bad...

And I heard you can use the old cool interface rather than new, ugly one...

One thing still angers me, the sprites. You have to save every single one as gif or other image file... and generally I'll have to spend time to get used to new animations-as-items/chars.

First step to break review's credibility is to quote KSNilok speaking about tk3...

Looks good. That's not the real Dark Age playing though, since there's no way you can get to the last boss with such low leveled characters, and Dr. Science and Gredrat are in inverted character positions (heh...).

...and according to OC, all tk2 commands work but some just don't do anything and display error message.

Now, who the hell put KSNilok's quote in that rev?!

The ones that give errors are deprecated (that's what the errors say). There are either better ways of doing it or replacements for the command(s). Razz

Well, there should also be option to auto-transfer all older commands into their existing new replacement upon transger.

Yeah, yeah... I want too much. Smile

Deprecated commands are supposed to be marked as such, and should still be programmed to work, or point to another command.

They are marked as such and most call another command, the only time they don't is when the have no direct equivlent.

In such a case, you leave them in, or make an equivalent.

If I remember correctly, KSN has done extensive work on the RPGCode systems of TK3, and he probably knows what he's talking about when it comes to that subject Wink

From what i've gathered, reading through this, when you use an old, deprecated, command, a warning message pops up. That's not deprecation.

I know what a mob is, but you said the mob. I'm not saying you're doing a poor job with things, nor am i saying you don't know what you're talking about. What i am saying, not everything is being done as it should be. But....seeing as i haven't actually used the TK in....over a year i'd say, it shouldn't really concern me all that much. Sorry for the bickering....but it's a pain to deal with my own personality sometimes.

I don't think OC was aware that the debug box is supressed in a built game.

oooohhhh!!! Gotta get TK 3.04!

is it out yet? Or is it me, because I don't see it on the TKZ site. I've been searching for it, and yes, I did look under official releases, and I still don't see it. argggggg, I'm a pirate now, argggggg. I don't be a butt pirate though, lol. so... ummmm.. where is it? the TK3.04 that is...

If it isn't on the official site - it obviously isn't available yet. When it is, it'll be announced a TKZ and no doubt Spyder will announce it at MS too.
