Okay I was wondering if this happens to anyone else. I Test run my game, and NO Midi's are played, it dosen't have any trouble playing MP3, just not in Battle's. Now it play's MIDI's perfectly well in The Bard, but Heaven Forbid it plays them in Trans 3
And yes, I do have the patch.
-
MIDIs seem to work for me.
I remember a while back (with Trans2) certain MIDIs would not play in game for me. Others played fine, though. It turned out that MIDIs created with a certain program would not work with the translator. So try a few MIDIs from a variety of different sources.
-
Yeah I'll try that...But you'd think that it would be able to paly the default music!?
I was testing with it, I'm not useing it in my game.......
-
Sorry about the double post.
Okay! I tried other MIDI's but none worked! I tired makeing a program that plays MIDI's and made it a thread, but that did work! I re installed the Toolkit and guess what!? That didn't work! My god! What is wrong with this thing!!! It's STUPID!!!!
I wish I could just take program and grab it by the neck and rip it's non midi playing head off!!!!
Okay new rateing for TK3 in my book
40/100!!!!
Let's change this! Dose ANYBODY have an idea how it fix this because makeing games, will be NO FUN at all if it dosen't work!
-
In 3.05 they will probably compile Toolkit with the latest build of Audiere, Audiere should now support midis, the TK 3.04 was compiled with an old version of Audiere supposedly
-
Midi's seem to work fine for me in G:A with 3.0.4. Dudeman, did you say you were testing the program? Do the midi's work if you actually run the game?
-
We have the latest audiere, hasn't been updated in over a year. I checked today.
-
Midis don't work for me either
-
They may not work on Windows 95.
If you have Windows 95, and are experiencing this error, please say so.
-
Windows 95? I didn't realize people were still using that POS....
-
SPYDER: No I'm not Testing a program, I'm Testing the game.
KSNILOC: No I don't have Window's 95, I have Window's 98. And I'm saying so, so will it work now? Laughing! Okay seriously, what's wrong? Dose anybody know?
-
Win95 and Win98 and the same bug wise.
Good to hear.
-
<_< That helps!
-
Ahhhh the fun never stops here!! Laughing
I honestly don't know because i haven't tried TK3 yet after it first came out *shudders*. looks damn good now. Keep up the good work!!
Good luck Dude Man.
-
TK3.0.4. is OS-ist right now.
-_-
Good thing I have WinXP.
Can't wait for more fixes, as many are still needed.
-
MIDIs are horrible, I prefer to use MODs instead (which are definitely broken in 3.0.4). I have tinkered around with MIDI crap in the past though.. It could be that you're using Format 0 MIDI files, and the TK can only recognize Format 1 (I don't know if this is true, just a far-out little idea)
-
MOD music has been fixed for 3.05, for the record.
-
Well that's nice Smile. So is there a way to convert MIDI's to MODs???
-
MODPlug Tracker can import MIDIs. If you have wavetable MIDI support, it should import all the required instruments too.
-
Ah...so that explains it. No MIDIs play in mine too. Not even the default ones. I'm using WinME, so it's basically Win98 Sad
I guess that means i'll have to convert all that i have to MP3s...
-

Blasphemy! Win98SE is far better than WinME!
-
GO WINDOWS 98 SE!!!! Razz
Well my mother realized there is a virus on our comp and the way to get rid of it, is to get the memory wiped! So that is what we are gonna do. So maybe the virus is why TK3 is not working. We will just have to wait and see!

Indeed.. ^_^
I'm backing up my HDD this week and format it. I'm planning on installing win98.
BTW, i have a present for you, just wait a while, k?

I think he's talking about the one for your birth day Wink
-
Yes, he is.

Er...you should be able to remove it using anti-virus software....
-
No. That software has also been effected -_- .
-
So re-install it...
-
Don't argue, it's not me who's wipeing the hard dive, it's my mom, it's her computer. <_<
-
You guys did back up all your files right...
-
If we did that then what would be the point? The virus was in a downloaded program so what's the point? The virus would just come right back. And also we don't want to, there's nothing on the computer we would miss. I'm re makeing the entire Black Walkway series anyway, and the games Dippy was makeing have just started. So there is no need to Smile !
-
ME...*shudders and hides*
YOu could use MODs in Tk now!? SWEET!! i got MODPlug a couple of weeks ago! YAY!! When i finally get used to it there should be music on my site! OH yeah, there should be more storyline stuff on the site now (gimme a few minutes...).
Hope you like the new ideas.
MY PRESENT: a virtual cake. a carrot cake with pink frosting. Two birds one...
-
There has been mod support since before TK2 was discontinued...
-
I didn't know about mods until I found out about MODPlug a month or two ago. Kewl.
-
I never really cared to much about TK MODs, but I might make some, yes...I might....
-
TK Mods? I think you misunderstand what we're talking about. The kind of Mod we're reffering to is tracked music. It's sort of a cross between Midi and MP3.
-
Surprised OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, now I understand 100%! Very Happy
