Gah ha ha, I dunno, the Nex quote sums up the level of cheese pretty accurately.

I like to think of it as more of a well dusted museum archive.

I am amused that I never knew what DnD was until years after DAL, ha ha

Nice. I'm still doing web development as well, at the same job I started halfway through DAL. Still doing comics and drawing (more than ever!) I did try writing a bit post-DAL, but discovered I didn't really like it, so my main medium has been comics ever since. Kiiiinda want to start poking at game development again, but haven't had any time at all in between drawing. Maaaaaybe after I finish Crimson Flag. ;)

Cool!

I remember I first messed with TK with a Win 98 machine too, around December 2000 or so.  I didn't do serious production until six months later when I got my own Windows ME machine all to myself. (90% of Dark Age was a summer vacation project. ;)) Was version 2.15, I think.

Keep in touch!

Realized when I took down the server MS was hosted on earlier this year, I never updated this topic. Ooops!  I moved DALpedia over to http://dalpedia.xorlak.com/ a ways back. But it was actually down for the past few months after a server upgrade left the way-too-old MediaWiki installation non-functional.  But I just put it back up today in a static, non-editable HTML form to be archived forever.

Enjoy!

Cool. Thanks again for the hosting!

For the record, the forums here are still on my server. I have too much invested here to let them go. ;)

General Discussion / Forum Move (once again!)
« on: February 19, 2011, 05:00:24 PM »
So I manged to scrape this forum from the old server and update it from a very outdated PHPBB3 Beta over to Simple Machines. Yay!  There are some small conversion wildernesses (on top of the conversion wierdnesses from the previous conversion...), but most things copied over.  Let me know if you have any trouble.

User registration is still disabled, and will remain so unless there's some renewed interest in this place.  If you want an account, email me at xorlak -at- darkagegames -dot- net.

User account logins should still work fine, but due to the forum software switch, you'll have to put in your password twice the first time. (I think it does some conversion thing.)

Enjoy!

Dark Age Games / DALpedia updates
« on: May 17, 2010, 06:02:07 PM »
I just finished overhauling darkagegames.net and migrated it to a new server.  I wanted to keep DALpedia here on MS though, which means it gets a new subdomain:

http://dalpedia.mysticsoftware.net

I have a redirect set up on DAG though, so most of the old links posted here should still work.

Also, I finally added Chapter 19 to the archives (sorry for the delay!) and fixed somethings like the "BIG Page". And just for fun, I downloaded the whole RP and pasted it into Word to get a word count... it's 1,620,000 words long!!  To compare, most novels are something like 50,000-100,000 words. ;)

If you haven't snagged these yet, there's a nifty Firefox addon that will do the trick:

Nice looking tiles there, Dude Man!  You're getting a lot better in the graphical department. :)

Best of luck with this!
