xD I'll bet there's one person who remembers me, and only because of the avatar.  ANYWAY... I haven't been around since late 2005/early 2006, and I regret it horribly.  I'm so behind on everything, and had to download the new version of the toolkit.

How is everyone?

Are you sure they are deleted?  At the bottom of the screen, you can set it to show all topics that have been updated within 15 days all the way to show all topics.

If that doesn't solve your problem, then you can try Archives...

Yeah, we are in pretty desperate need of active members, for we are at the point of having about six (estimate).

So just check it out, please?

Ach... I don't know.  If nothing inspirational comes to me with Trinon for a while, I may just put it on hold and start on P:R there...

I'll let you know though.

Yeah, I have a music person for Trinon, but she hasn't given me one piece of music at all.  And she's been part of the team since, I don't know, June?  Hasn't even contacted me... I don't like inactive people...

What, exactly, is real? We are told that if we can see, hear, and feel something, then it exists. But as (character currently unnamed) fights insanity, she finds out that the line between fiction and reality is not as sharp as we once thought...

((And the information))

In this game, the protagonist is a female, who I haven't currently named, and it is essentially an internal conflict. She fights a battle for her mind and sanity, so this leads to some Eternal Darkness-esque moments. For example, you will walk into one room, and enemies will charge at you. The thing is, most of them aren't real. Only a few can actually hurt you.

Well that last bit there obviously wouldn't work without a real-time battle system, so that's what I'm going to have to use  Very Happy.

Anyway, that's all I've got at this point.  It won't be made until I either finish (or abandon, which is unlikely) Trinon... so I just wanted to know what some of the people here thought about it...

Hey, you can join my group!  I'm not meaning Trinon, but the one I'm going to post up here in just a second, Project: Reality.

This isn't so much of a bump as an update, but it is a mixture of both  Razz .

I have the history of the Shadowlands.  These are bits and pieces of a book written by Firestorm, a character in the game (mine).  It sort of tells the known history of the Shadowlands from Firestorm's point-of-view.

Quote
The Shadowlands have been a mystery of Trinon for as long as civilization has been there.  The first recordings of it came from the scouting reports when the Hylians first landed in the mysterious land.  Firestorm, one of the original scouts that first saw the Shadowlands, has erected a town in the darkened place.  He has also written a detailed and full (known) history on the place.  Here are some pieces of the document:

"The Shadowlands"  by Firestorm, mayor of New Flame (circa 2001).

"... When our group first saw the border on the horizon, we were sure we would eventually see some sort of a reason for the darkness, maybe some large construct that sat a giant shadow on the land, but our hopes were unabated, for when we approached, we saw nothing.  The darkness spread as far as we could see, and spread in a circular formation, centered around a cliff, which was odd, considering that what surrounded the Shadowlands were mostly plains.  In fact, the valley that spread down the center of the Shadowlands didn't seem to have a purpose, for there was no water or any other material that could explain erosion..."

"...After we returned from the scouting trip and made our report to General Stargazer, I found that my mind kept wandering to the strange land on the other side of the continent.  I knew that it had to also be on the minds of all the other people on the scouting trip, for it was the only strange thing that we had found.  I even consulted some of them, and my thoughts proved correct, for none of the original scouts could keep their minds off of the Shadowlands for very long.  This information gladdened me immensely, for now I knew that I wasn't alone in this obscure fascination..."

"...Once a month had gone by and the strange land still filled my consciousness (and sleep), I knew I had to visit it again.  I took a few carpenters to build myself a house, for I planned to live in the strange place, study it and send back results to the capitol.  When the carpenters saw the strange place though, they decided that they wanted to live there as well, if only long enough to study it with me.  I had no disagreement, for some company would be nice.  But it eventually got out of hand.  More and more people started to move into the middle of the twilight land, and at one point, chaos broke out.  I knew something had to be done, so I sent a request to the King, asking for permission to name the small community we had become a town.  I recieved word about a week later accepting my request.  I broke the news to the (now) townspeople and they, in turn, broke out in celebration.  Once it came time to pick a mayor for the town, I seemed to be a natural choice.  I, in an ironic mood, dubbed the town 'New Flame'."

"... After a couple of weeks of running the new town, I knew that I had to have some sort of illuminescence(sp?) created for light, for even I was becoming tired of the constant darkness.  I had also noticed more... primal emotions and feelings coming up and I started to wonder exactly why the land was so dark.  I had started to worry that it was because the land was evil, and I was somehow becoming tainted...  But the problem of light remained on my mind, so I summoned Trinon's brightest scientist to my darkened city and into my office.  Shurto the Wolfe as he called himself was an extremely unique person, but was one of the most brilliant minds of our time.  He immediantly got to work on something he named the 'light bulb'.  He would shut himself in my office (yes... with my permission.  I regret it now because I still can't get whatever that is off of the flooring...) where my notes on my studies were.  He said he was looking for something natural that he could run his... 'light bulb' off, some sort of natural energy..."

I wrote this yesterday in a matter of... oh, one or two hours.

You should have your review within a week (or two  Very Happy ).  I'm about 75 pages away from the end.

I don't think I like the E-book format so much.  Our family only has one computer and everybody always wants on, you know?  I'd much rather have the book in my hands, and be able to carry it around with me... especially because you can use a real bookmark on paper  Very Happy .  I think I'm going to buy it... that is, if I can find it.  The nearest Barnes and Noble is in Kansas City, which is about 200 miles.

Oh well, next time I'm up there, I'll look.  Once again, great book Cyrus!
