Ok, I am creating an online game using the FTP plugin, right.
I was just wondering if a trading system would be possible without a plugin, and if it is possible, if it could be easier with a plugin.

Not in toolkit, I guess (multiplayer, you mean???)?

Well my knowledge about real programming is somewhere around compilation error in C++.

But if it's for tk, I never heard of such plugin. I'll have to check one day or another.

By online i did meen Multipayer, yes.
The game connects to my FTP server as soon as you start, so it really is just a MP game, but thats not my question.
are u sure trade isnt possible without a plugin? Also, why wouldnt u consider RPG Code a REAL language?

Hmm, rpgcode is somehow real... Altrough you won't be able to make a game that will only consist 1 program without the main file etc... And it's somehow dependant on all your boards, items, characters etc (altrough I don't use personally any of default items, I make all my own programs)...

Multiplayer game done with tk? I'll get to check that out, cool. Trading? You mean trading WHAT? Items? Code parts? Hmm... This should allow me to make a diablo-esque game considering that in my game you can, ehm, wll be able to (when it comes out, ehm, if it comes out Wink) have random-generated items and upgrade them, forge them, enhance them, enchant them, so trading them would be cool... Hehehehe.

Too bad I NEVER use any plugins because of my unregistered tk version... And I made cool BSs and now work on area-based one (where you move around and attack in melee or at range) without using any of them...

war game? with tk? interesting Smile always better than minicars... no, really, if you don't know C++ or smth it's a good thing to make simple programs with rpgcode... Like lottery simulation and such.

currently I need no further staff, sorry... I'm just making the VERY basics of the game... About multiplayer I'll think after it's almost-done.

Multiplayer aspect would be a good thing in my game, too - that would add something up to player's motivations beside beating the game. I simply want to make so powerful item system and level/skill system that no 2 characters will ever be the same, so player vs player arenas or tradings posts would be cool... Like making an "online" location where players can trade with themselves, fight on various arenas, eeeeh... I first need to make a game, though. What was the last date I mentioned it would come out? 2057? Yes, perhaps, I plan it to be completely in 4 and half dimensions, have surrounding sound with 8, perhaps 10 sound sources & telepathical controls (connecting cables to your brain and sterring character on screen via your thoughts). Good idea, isn't it?
