I think things will turn out well, as TKZone already has two unofficial versions. It will be slow, but I think it will turn out great.

I hope some bunch of fanatics would gather and continue cmb's work by fixing all the bugs in existing tk3...

Or 'degenerate' tk3 into unofficial tk2 (change code to resemble tk2)... Hehehe. Yeah. The only feature I truly like in actual tk3 is that character is transparent when walking under "under" tile, rather than stuip cutting oh his downer body part.

No idea, but he has a version on TKZone, which claims to have got rid of most of the bugs.
