Actually, they do make Sakabatou's, and they have been around before, but Rurouni Kenshin is what made them popular these days.

I used to have 2 but they were fake. However my older brother in his house has several swords. There from The Lord Of The Rings. They are so cool!

i thought the large one was a katana?, the other two are correct though.
Well, I always thought the Katana was a stand-alone sword; not part of a set of 3.
And by the way, Daito IS the correct name for the larger one. Sorry Spyder, but I have started taking classes in Swordsmanship, and the first thing I was taught was how to distinguish between the swords.

You were born in the land of Warrior Pride. You live to fight, you have a strong spirit, courage and bravery. Strong lord! Unsheath thy sword, rush into war and strip the enemy of his flesh down to the core.
Umm...yeah

Woah, no need to get defensive man, I wasn't trying to say you were wrong, I've just always heard of the katana, as it's the most widely used name for samurai/ninja swords, as well as it was advertised as a katana on ebay. What's the difference if it's part of a set or not if it's the exact same sword? Wouldn't it be called the same thing?
Just looked around on Yahoo for a sec, and on
this page
it says that a Daito can be either a Tachi or a Katana. A couple other pages I looked at said pretty much the same thing. We're both correct Very Happy .
Another page with some good info

I'd imagine katanas. You'd have to ask Indy to be sure though.
