The death of one is a tradegy, the death of a million is a statistic.

Do you think he was right, or wrong? Why?

Sadly he is right. Yet the death of one million is still a tradegy.

It's sad, but it's true...the government doesn't give a rat's ass about one human life. However, a mass number of 'civilian casualties' will divert their attention. Even so, they only pretend to care so that they can keep the people in their back pocket.

Interesting views. I've no solid opinion on the subject. Some parts I agree on, others I do not.

Sadly, he's kind of right. People hear about how millions were killed in the tsunami last year, or katrina, or whatever, and they just go on with their lives. but, if someone close to them dies, they really care and they're not the same for weeks, maybe months, maybe years.
