Not to sound mean or bad..sorry.

There's lots of unattended forums..with posts dating from 2004! What are your plans for these forums?

Heh, probably a good idea.  Probably the best thing to do would be to move them to a "dead forums" section or something and move them back out if people start using them again.  If anyone has any other ideas, let us know!

Send out emails to the owners of said forums asking if they wish to keep the forum.  Give a deadline to reply.  If no reply by deadline, move to a dead forum section.  if the reply and do not wish to have the forums, remove them.  if they want to keep the forums....umm....prolly should include a clause that posts need to be made every xx number of days/weeks or the forum will be moved to the 'dead forum' section.

Nah just move them to a dead forum category. If they want them back in the living category they can post a request in their forum.

My forum is still alive...sorta. I just suck at HTML so I can't get a good site running, that's all.

Just move the ones not used to a dead forums forum.  Hardly any forums are used except for this one, the DA one, and Off-Topic.  Just move all the rest to a new forum and if the owner wants it back, they can request it.  Or some can come into this topic and say, "DON'T REMOVE MINE!!! Sad "  They have to use extra emoticons if they want to keep it, though. Razz

I took care of it.  Was pretty liberal about the cut off dates (one year), so we'll probably see some more thrown in there next time around.

I don't mind so long as mine aren't touched....though they'll become redirects shortly.
