Mystic Software Forums Rules List
These are generalized rules which set a basis for which each respective forum moderator may expand upon. Regardless of whether or not the moderator chooses to expand upon these rules, they are the minimum requirements to post here at the Mystic Software phpBB Forums. If the user does not agree to a specific rule, or any of them for that matter, they are requested to refrain from posting on these forums.

Rule 1: The first rule to these forums is probably the largest rule to be applied. Flaming will not be tolerated. The instant a flame is seen, a moderator or administrator must PM a warning to the user (if registered) and promptly delete the post.

While some moderators may say that flaming will be tolerated by them, we, the administrative body, will not tolerate it.

Rule 2: Next, posts should be placed in the appropriate forums. The Toolkit Zone forum should be used only for questions, comments, and suggestions concerning the Toolkit Zone or Mystic Software and related services specifically. The General Discussion may be used for game announcements, general community announcements, and other RPGToolkit related topics. Other hosted sites forum rules concerning proper topics are of the moderator's discression. If s/he feels that a topic is non-relevant, they may delete the post, but must warn the user.

Rule 3: On the topic of offensive posts (including but not limited too: racist, sexist, terrorist, and the like), such posts will not be tolerated and will be promptly deleted. Moderators are advised to delete such posts and warn the poster via email or private message.

Rule 4: Concerning Avatars Custom avatars may be no larger than 150x150 pixels unless granted permission by a Mystic Software Forum administrator. Avatars may not represent offensive ideas, pornographic material, and the like. Should one exceed the size limitation without permission, avatar usage will be removed for that user for a length of time as determined by an administrator. Avatars containing pornographic materials, offensive ideas, and the like will result in the users immediate banning for a length of time as determined by the moderator.

Rule 5: Concerning Sticky and Announcement posts- Such posts may only be posted by moderators and Mystic Software Administrators. Should a standard user post a Sticky or Announcement post, a warning will be given and the moderator of that forum will edit the post to remove the sticky option.

Rule 6: Concerning Smilies- Users may use smilies in all posts, but excessive usage in a single post just to "kill space" will not be tolerated and the message will be edited to remove such offenses.

Rule 7: Test posts will not be tolerated. They will be deleted on site. Repeated test posts will result in "punishment" such as removal of special priveleges and the like.

Rule 8: On the subject of Profanity- Profanity is a per forum rule when it concerns MS hosted forums. Profanity usage on standard MS forums will be minimized. Should offensive profanity be used in an offensive manner, a warning will be issued, and the post deleted. Should it be repeated, another warning. Should it be repeated a third time, an immediate ban will be issued, with or without warning.
-This includes posts like the f--k you all posts and the like.

Rule 9: On the subject of impersonation- Impersonating another user of the MS forums will not be tolerated and will result in immediate banning of those with IPs similar to that of the account used for impersonation. This ban will be indefinite, and may be given without any advanced warning.

Rule 10: Do not reply to threads that have not had any replies in 15 days.

Rule 11: Do not suggest in any way that someone should obtain copyrighted material illegally. Discussion of piracy will be tolerated at the discretion of the administration, but any suggestion that someone should engage in piracy, or suggestions of software or other means to obtain copyrighted material will not be tolerated.

The following list of rules are tentative, but will be hammered out in repeated Staff Board discussions, as well as the fact that these rules will be enforced until something more permanent is set up.
1) Posts straying from the original topic will either be deleted or split from the actual "thread." Whether or not they will be deleted or split is up to the moderator enforcing this action.

2) If you need to speak with a person explicitily, please use the Private Message feature that this forum supports. Posts of this type may either be deleted or split, again, moderator's discretion is involved.

Please note that all active threads may resume current topic discussion as they are.

These rules (the ones in bold) apply to this forum exclusively. The General Chit Chat is moderators discretion on enforcement. Each hosted site also follows moderator discretion. The forums directly tied to MS (namely the following), are under jurisdiction of these rules.

--Under Category Mystic Software - Resources::
---Discussion, Submission, Requests, and MS/R Development

Should any of these rules be violated, warnings will be issues to users involved. Some rules, such as rules 1, 3, and 4, may result in immediate banning for the amount of time the administrator sees fit. Multiple offenses may result in temporary banning or removal of certain user priveleges. Priveleges lost may include, but are not limited to, removal of avatars, html, bbcode, and other features granted by registration with the Mystic Software ibForums. Please note that these rules are under constant revision and are subject to changes without prior notice.

\"People who sin say this: That they had to, to survive. People who sin say this: That it\'s too late to stop. The shadow called Sin dogs them steadily without saying a word. Remorse and Agony are repeated, to finally end up at Despair. But sinners don\'t know that if they turn around, there is a light.... a light which keeps shining on them ever so warmly.\" - Vash the Stampede - Trigun

\"There\'s a heaven on earth that so few ever find, though the map\'s in your soul and the road\'s in your mind. So many mountains before us, so many rivers to cross, where is the wisdom to bring back the vision we\'ve lost? Can we gaze with the wonder of children into the deafening night? Has it gotten so dark that you cannot remember the light?\" - D. Fogelburg
