All right, now that I have some free time I can put up some info about this very short beta demo I made. Propably no one will read through this anyway, but you can check if you're interested in my game.

List of bugs

As a good game designer, I warn my fellow toolkit users of what bugs appear in my game.

1. Trap boards. Check below.

2. Dialogue crashes. Like with the priest and donating gold (you can't refuse after he tells you how much you have to donate).

3. No character graphics in BS.

4. No sounds other than background music/sound (midis and rain during intro scene).

5. Music not looping. NOT MY FAULT!

6. Wander program doesn't work (there's 1 villager which is supposed to wonder, Steve, I believe - rhymes Wink). I have no idea why.

7. Some things NPCs speak about aren't implemented, like priest tells you P allows you to pray and Kennedy speaks about hermit by the fountain which is not there.

8. Load game doesn't work, but you can't save game anyway.

If you find anymore, let me know.

List of trap boards

I am nice enough to provide it. Beware of these.

1. The church.

2. Church choir, after talking with Santos (infintie #while loop, I guess)

3. Rat lair.

Funny things to do in game

Make sure you check all this if you play the demo.

1. To learn some more about outside-demo story and plots of the game, talk with barkeeper Kennedy about the rumors.

2. There is a man from Antioch in rat lair which has something to say.

3. You can check inscriptions on graves which contain inscription plates (there are three such tombstones, I believe).

4. On the south-eastern part of Kodra town, you can pass through the barrels into some incompleted accessible area, you can see academy building from front this way.

5. The day/night system is in! After making enough steps (lots, my calculations say you have to make 720 steps] you can actually see colors change. You can also lose all your stamina (invisible statistic) after enough steps, and after each 30 steps (game counts time every 30 steps) the screen will get more and more red and you will lose health and eventually die (altough health loss might not be yet implemented).

6. As far as I know, pressing space before fountain should bring some comment from your character, but I'm not sure.

7. In start menu, place cursor over "quit" to see funny description. LOL, sure I must be weird to tell you even such details.

Messing with code and game files to see more things Wink

Try this if you have absolutely nothing to do or you want to get some more things from that hard-downloaded demo which seems not to be worth your time.

1. Change variable gp! to give yourself some gold and give it to the beggar (funny). You can also donate to the church, but it's less funny.

2. Change variable sex! to 1 to make other characters treat you like a woman. It has some funny responses in certain moments even in demo. *cough* constable lamprey *cough*

3. Change variable water_walk! to 1 to walk over water in rat lair.

4. Mess with step program to make time flow faster and such.

5. Change variable stamina! to 0 to see scren turning dark and red every 30 steps indicating your loss of vital power (eating food prevents this, but you can't yet do this in game... food will be avaliabe at inns and also propably as items, or maybe just one of these)

6. Change variable god$ to some random text other than "mithra" to see different response from priest and a bit different dialogue option during talk with Santos.

7. Replace lines of some NPC program with lines from "Samir" program and set variable rat_god_quest! to 2 to eventually see basics of talent system...

8. You can check programs of other NPCs, like Seth, Izaak, Stranger, Hermit, Zaine, the scholars, etc...

9. There are midi and sound effects files not used in game, you can listen to these.

This is it. Congratulations if you managed to read this pile of useless information about my own game.  Razz

No. I modified some tunes to fit, though (instruments they use).
