Rather than an RPGCode question, a general programming question:

What is the difference between a function and a procedure?

Haraldur, sub and function garbage is ONLY in basic.

In real langauges, like C, whether or not it returns a value, a function is a function. Even in VB I call them all functions. There is no difference.

Pascal? Ew.

Pascal isn't even OO, I don't think. If you want to learn programming, you want to be learning object oriented programming, trust me.

Meh, it is just what I am learning at school currently, before going on to VB. The reason? "To teach you good programming habits."

And of course, in polish educational system, in 2nd and 3th class of high school I will have not a single lesson of computer technology and informatics.

Blessed be the system.
