You were born in the land of Warrior Pride. You live to fight, you have a strong spirit, courage and bravery. Strong lord! Unsheath thy sword, rush into war and strip the enemy of his flesh down to the core.

I personally thought there were some gaps that needed to be filled. Besides, my friends at school think it'll be cool.

And Cesque, there is a possibility that a FF-Inspired RPG could NOT be stupid. And let's think...Dark Age 1 was inspired by FF.

True very true! Also, were talking an expereniced RPG Maker doing it, not some n00b who speaks 1337. Were talking Mark Of The Dragon makeing a game, not mark ov teh dragen. Even though, may I speak for all of us, Eternal Blade wasn't that impressive, (Yet my game was also that bad). But I've seen his new stuff and it's good stuff, his skills are better.

Also it seems like a cool idea (yet I have never played FF8).

Basiclly he's just going to make some fan game. Just like there are a billion Fan Commander Keen and Mario games out there.

Dark Age 1 may have been inspired by Final Fantasy (at least I think it was considering how it did resemble Final Fantasy 4), but it is not a Final Fantasy fan game

Inspired.

But it was not made an idiotic fan sequel which people think will automaticaly gain popularity because "everyone loves FF8". Such sequels, obviously at least 75% worse than main game, are like needles inserted into the original.

The only people who should have right to decide future of story in their games should be the creators, and sometimes even they tend to screw things up (Legacy of Kain series...)

Well, I know damn well that Square's not going to expand on FF8. However, I see a few logical possibilities with an 8-2.

If you want to hear more about the planned story for this game, ask Linkin on TKZ.
