William, there seems to be a huge bugg in your game as of now. There are items scattered randomly all over the castle map, many times the enemies do not attack back when you try to fight them, enemies can get inside of buildings, and (you already know this) many of the shops do not work. Hope these problems get fixxt.
The items is on the ground because no characters picked them up, I sometimes respawn maps because there is to many items on the board. Maximum items on a board is 25. I know they can get inside buildings, and I think mages will be able to lvl pretty easy anyway, since theres not many enemies in the houses, and also all doors into the houses is NPC AVOID, so they cant walk in, just respawn.
The shop problem is pretty hard, I think I will wait with the shops, I added more drops instead, and if you want a item, check on the item section since I added drops to them so you know what enemy to kill.
