I just added a folder to the screen with all my files called images and put all my pictures in there, then just linked all my pictures to that folder.

And I'll get to the background...

You can configure DreamWeaver's built in FTP client with the information i sent you at registration so that you can upload your pages directly to your website through DreamWeaver, which would eliminate the need for Internet Explorer.

Well, I'm using the (<a href='http://www.crystalfibers.com' target='_blank'>Matrix Y2K</a> ...   It's freeware, and has it's own FTP thing... but you have to upload the pages from Internet Explorer.

if it has it's own FTP, why would you need to use IE to upload them?

Dreamweaver has the option to input all your FTP information, so that when you want to upload the file your working on to your website, all you have to do is click the "Put File" button, rather than having to save the file, open IE, log on through FTP, and drag/drop the file into the window.
