It's best to leave it be DMM, you might get your ass shot off.

Anyways. I downloaded tried to download it 3 times, and the first two, failed to even finish, the 3rd time, it finished and nothing! THIS FILE CONTAINS INVALID DATA.

Something has got to be wrong, with it. Probally the site. Because I can't download ANYTHING off of it.

It might just be my internet connection, if so, then maybe it will work after if I download it at my dads, then save it to CD.

If that dosen't work, then Xorlak, you might want to consider zipping the file. (Maybe release a MIDI version to)

Hmmm, they seem to be working on my end.  Did you try it with Leech Get?  I know I wouldn't attempt to download a 90 MB file on a modem in one shot (heh...).

Okay, it seems there's enough people who want a MIDI version for me to go ahead with it.  It will be a little while though...

what did u use for the music, sounds good. too bad it'll take like two weeks to dl.

what did u use 4 the pics too, they are sweet.

Rueben is the mastermind behind the music.  Battle backgrounds are done in <a href='http://blender3d.org' target='_blank'>Blender</a>.  Other images in MS Paint and Photoshop.

Got the same thing, using FireFox. Do you use it?

Hmm, apparently it simply stops to download file claiming download is complete after some time but it's not, and file can't be opened.

I'll take Xorlak's advice and try to get it tommorow using IE, I guess...

I used Firefox the first time and got the invalid data and then the second time it worked. All within half an hour, since I have DSL.

Cesque: Yeah, I used FireFox, it finished the download in IE but as you know, invalid file.

Xorlak: I didn't use leech get, but maybe I'll try that. And, I subjest you ZIP the midi version.

Oops... minor fix!

After downloading, please put <a href='http://www.darkagegames.net/misc/Shilja.itm' target='_blank'>this</a> (right click and choose "Save as") in the game's Game/DarkAge/Item directory.

(Thanks go out to Colin for noticing this!)

I'll recompile the installer and upload the fixed version tomorrow.

I don't think EXEs corrupt any easier than ZIP files.  Both are just strings of bytes as far as the browser is concerned.

I'm getting the invalid file error as well. Used Firefox to download also. Trying FileZilla using FTP this time.

Edit: Works fine when I used an FTP client. Now to WinRAR the file for all you dial-up users Razz

Edit #2: SFX Rar created. Now uploading, which will take about an hour. There are 4 files, each is exactly 25MB, aside from the 4th one, which is 18.9MB. This will allow you to download DAX in 25MB increments, rather than one huge 93MB file. You won't need WinRAR to extract the setup file, because it's a self-extracting archive. When you run the .exe file, it will extract DarkAgeEX.exe into the current folder (or whatever folder you choose) and once extracted, will run Setup. This means you'll need more than 250MB of space free on your drive of course, because the setup file will take up 93MB, and the self-extracting files will take up an additional 94MB, not to mention all the files that DarkAgeEx.exe will install.

Edit #3: All files have been uploaded.

<a href='http://www.mysticsoftware.net/games/DarkAgeEX.sfx.part1.exe' target='_blank'>Part 1</a> - 25MB
<a href='http://www.mysticsoftware.net/games/DarkAgeEX.sfx.part2.rar' target='_blank'>Part 2</a> - 25MB
<a href='http://www.mysticsoftware.net/games/DarkAgeEX.sfx.part3.rar' target='_blank'>Part 3</a> - 25MB
<a href='http://www.mysticsoftware.net/games/DarkAgeEX.sfx.part4.rar' target='_blank'>Part 4</a> - 19MB

Enjoy!

RAR is really bad.

I recommend a real program and format like <a href='http://winace.com' target='_blank'>WinAce</a>. The latter type compressed the sucker down to ~60 MB.

Thanks, Spyder!

RAR doesn't seem any worse than ZIP.  60 MB is pretty amazing, though (considering it's already compressed).  I'll check that out.

I made liberal use of statistics by only counting the media (which came to just over 60), Xorlak. Wink Seriously though, <a href='http://winace.com' target='_blank'>WinAce</a> is awesome. Get it.

The rest isn't very large though, so it shouldn't offset it much.
