You were born in the land of Warrior Pride. You live to fight, you have a strong spirit, courage and bravery. Strong lord! Unsheath thy sword, rush into war and strip the enemy of his flesh down to the core.

That would encourage piracy, though.

Piracy is always encouraged with games that cost money. They can copy the installer from the CD and upload it to Kazaa or other P2P service. Pirates will ALWAYS find a way. You could send an activation code in the email to the person who bought it, but they will find it out. The code can be on the CD. They can still find out. You can make it so that CD's are needed. Pirates will make cracks so that they are not. You can't escape piracy.

Yeah... But there are some ways of getting rid of it somehow Smile For example, in settlers 4 (don't like settlers but anyway) the program detected pirate version and made changes to game, like producing pigs instead of weapons... You said "whoa, what are you talking? this needs no crack, it's working" and then you flamed game for bugs, yeah... I actually had full version - but - as usually - I lost my CD code.

Btw. I hate games which have TOO much defense against piracy, like Blizzard ones (StarCraft, WarCraft, Diablo). I once borrowed game to a friend, now I of course can't log-in onto multiplayer, not to mention I lost one of cd-keys and I'm simply doomed if I don't use cracks. The CDs are made so that if they get somehow damaged you've got to buy new ones, so I'm not able to play half my games at all due to, hmm, over-use!

The full version is far too big to send by email.  Plus its just more fun sending out a CD (heh...).
