And yes, Wedge was in Episode 3. Senator Organa told him to have 'the protocol droid's mind wiped' on board the crusier at the end.

Yeah, plus, how could he look like he's in his mid 30s in ROTS, but 17 years later in A new hope, he's looks like he's in his 20s? =p
