<a href='http://ibforums.mysticsoftware.net/index.php?showtopic=1884' target='_blank'>This</a> looks like a spambot too.

If spambots can register then, what could we do to avoid them?

If it becomes an issue, then I'll have to look into making it so you have to enter a code from an image on the registration form.  We'll see if we get any problems first.

Edit: Apparently the newest version of these forums (2.2, we're in 2.0 right now) has the whole 'enter a code from an image to post as a guest or register' thing already implemented.  It's not released yet, but when it is it'll just be a matter up upgrading the forums.

Sigh.  What is the point of spam?  If anyone's like me, it just pisses me off and makes me want to not buy whatever they're trying to sell to me.

EDIT - Good.  I'll have to remember to update my forums, too. Razz

*cough*

Heh.  I was bored, so I was trying to look through some of my old posts.

Good news: I'm basically MysticSoftware history!

Bad news:  I'm like the Hitler of World History! Sad

I was a prick, wasn't I?  And everyone always talks about me being racist, I don't recall being racist.  If I was... heh.  Just recently Spyder made a comment about me "thinking I was black" or something, lol.  Boy, how times have changed.  Anyway, it really makes me pissed off at myself for just being an asshole to everybody. Sad

And whatever happened to Haraldur?  The minute or so I came back (heh), he had kicked the living shit out of my post count.  And now, he's practically non-existant.  Funny how he managed to become an Administrator.  How did that happen?  He never did get to know me, but I hope he doesn't hate me like he has said on several accounts (I searched my username, Razz ).

*Cough*

Hello, Asimir.  Nice to see you, er... posting. Smile

Quoaz: Yes, sometimes it can.

Cuzit: To my memory I?ve never had much of a bad opinion of you. If you do find me bad mouthing you in any former posts, show me. I'll decide if an apology is needed. Razz

As for Haraldur, he's off to university, I believe. I talked with him a month ago. He became an administrator due to his skill in reviewing games. He does quite a good job, he's pretty good a spam control. Also since he's on MSN, I'm able to quickly report spam topics to him.

But yes, now that's he's in university his activity has been massively reduced. He did promise to return (Mostly just for DAL mind you). Oh by the way, the Chapter 11 signups are on, didn't you say you wanted to join earlier?

There's so much I wanted to say to some of the stuff typed above, but I will refrain... for people shall hate me if I do....

Anyways. Yes, Haraldur is off to university. Really, though, I must say it's kind of a good break from him in DAL - his characters were very, ah... unbalanced. Then again, he WAS the first one to interact with my character, so he isn't that bad Smile

No, I don't believe you badmouthed me at all.  As a matter of fact, I viewed several posts where everyone was saying bad things about me, and you kind of took a neutral side.  I recall one post where you said something along the lines of "if he does come back, and he's mean to me, then I'll hate him."  Lol, I don't believe you hate me. Laughing

Oh yeah, DAL.  Um... whoo.  I'll decide about that later.  Final Fantasy XII distracts me a lot, and I've finally started on my game.  Working on graphics a lot, which is tough for me, and the story.  I'm hoping to get some kind of showcase up for the Winter EXPO if I can wrap up my story quick enough.  So, very much unlike me, I've been at the computer a lot doing graphics and story.  When the EXPO blows over, I might join up if I can.  Maybe I will have completed FFXII by then (or nearing its completion) so that I won't have such a cluttered schedule.  If I can join in midway (if you already started it) then I will strongly consider joining this time around.  If not, then I guess I might have to wait for Chapter 12.  I'd hate to sign up for it and then not be able to attend. Laughing

Heard that FF12 was different in its battle system, which was kind of a turn off to me.  I will give it a shot though once it become a greatest hit and ebay becomes oversaturated with copies, driving the price down.  (Heh...)  Still need to play FF10, anyway.

You can jump in DAL at any time.  The chapter breaks are mostly because I get burned out and force everyone to quit along with me.  (Heh...)

Oh my brother? He's not much of a forum guy, but I'll tell him you wanted to know were he is. He said he might come back for DAL.

Ten bucks says he'll post three times near the beginning and then stop.

FFXII's battle system is awesome.  It's very similar to the old ones, just in real-time.  It takes a little bit of getting used to at first, but when you do, it seems like its a whole lot better.  I've heard claims from people saying that they don't want to play an older FF ever again... whether I'd go that far is doubtful, as I've still got to wrap up 6 and 5.  But, yeah, its wonderful.

What does Dippy's username mean?
