Really, Drannic, you don't screw up that much to be saying things like that. My one qualm with you is that you try to get to the top too fast, and that is it. Your posts are fine, it's just that you sometimes try to make these very grand, drastic actions, from which it is obvious that you want your character to be powerful and mighty and respected. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you should work your character to the top, and not have him become the top. Hell, I don't even think that Kronos is ready for the top yet, and he's been in the RP for six chapters now.
Other than that, really, you're being too hard on yourself. Your characters are kind of like... The closest comparison would be like branches on a tree. You've got many of them and you have several different storylines. You, being the tree, only have so many resources you can spare for your branches. If, say, you were to cut all of the branches off and leave 2 or 3 of them, then you'll put all your effort into those 2 or 3, making them great. Your characters have potential, believe me. It's just that when you're wrestling down several different storylines, they seem kind of... you know, rushed. That's the problem there, and you try to rush to the top, without much in-between work. After a lot of experimentation on Ein and Kronos, I ultimately decided that the whole in-between work is the true meat of DAL, so to say. Sure it's great when you have an almighty character, but then if there are no real obstacles to overcome, then what's the point of having a character? It's like cheating at a video game, but cheating only until you get to the boss. Yes, you still have the boss to fight, but the rest of the game took absolutely no effort. That whole "rest", if you ask me, is where most of the pleasure from games comes from.
