Draven knew the treacherous mage could not have gone far. But which way to look? He could have gone two ways... northward, which would have put him back into the castle... but that would be suicide, so Daven immediately dismissed that idea. The other option would have been southward into the forest or fields, in which case he would have the entire rest of the island to hide in and at least one method of escaping the island...
"BLAST!"
Draven knew he needed to persue immediately, but it was clear that one person alone had little chance of finding him, as mighty as he was...
Draven looked around the battlefield, finally spotting Sigilus lying on the ground some distance away. He lifted the martial artist up from the ground by the shoulder, and with the other hand poured a blue liquid from a vial into his mouth.
"Come boy, we have work to do..."
He sat the warrior down with his back leaning against a partially destroyed brick wall to wait for the elixir to take effect. Feeling rather worn out himself, he removed a second elixir from his belt-- his last one, and drank it. Soon his full strength was back, which was exactly what he needed considering the damage he was planning to do in the next couple of moments...
The group of soldiers he sent out earlier to find the sword approched him, lead by the lieutenant.
"My lord... we... could not find the blade..."
"I know THAT!"
"!"
"The lightning mage has it. Quickly, go to the forest just south of here and FIND HIM!" Draven then added as a second thought, "If you find him, don't attempt to fight him, he'll kill you too easily. Send someone back to get me and I'll handle it."
The solidiers scurried off, execept for the lieutenant, who paused for a moment.
"Yes, my lord. Also... why have the doors to the castle been barred?"
"Huh?"
----
About twenty soldiers flooded the hallway, all heading in the direction of the stairwell. Duilin mace smacked one, who fell immediately.
Drawing his broadsword, the officer dove at Scorch.
"Bedroom? I'll put ya ta sleep! ARRRRGHHHH!!!"
