//It does not clear it up. You should have said what you have just told me in the original post, otherwise my scanning of the area would have been impossible, regardless of the ability of my character. Just saying "disappeared" instead of "destroyed" is not enough: I have/would use the word "disappeared" to mean that they were completely annihilated, destroyed, no trace, OK? "Teleported" or "teleported to Limbo" would have been fine, as it was explicit, and my character could reasonably then have come to the conclusion that his comrades were not dead, or not, depending on my decision as to make him jump to conclusions first or to check the place before making conclusions. Instead, it forced my character to jump to a conclusion, since anything else was impossible, and so made my character look like a complete buffoon, without it being my decision as to whether he would be a buffoon. The end result is that you have effectively controlled my character's actions, which, as you know, is frowned upon. Worst of all is that my character is not supposed to be an idiotic character, so he has been forced to act out of character.//

"Magic never disappears. Magic is a law of nature, with mathematical models for how it works. Nature is uniform, so magic is an unbreakable law of Physics. I have studied Physics in several universes, including magical ones. The availability of magical energy and training and ability can be suppressed, but not destroyed.

"Two against one? Only the simple speak in terms of numerical odds only. As for fighting me, you seem to have no logical reason to do so."

Tesla smiled at Ein. "All we wanted to do was make sure you were not trying to trick us. You seem to be genuine. I suggest you go to the kitchens to eat."

He again concentraed on the ground in front of the frontline.

"That treachorous slime sent you, did he? Well, well... He must be replaced by someone more agreeable..."

He looked at Hyperion //If you have objections to what is below, then it will be removed, I just think it would be reasonably cool.// and said, "The poison my steed put into you is a residual one, after one day it will kill you, in the meantime making you weak, unless you are given the antidote (and I am the only person who can make it, as I designed the poison as well). In addition, after the antidote is given, then it is 2 days before the poison kills you, in the second day you will become weak, so you will need daily doses to remain alive, and I am the the only person who can provide them.

"Therefor, it is in both our interests that you become my slave, my servant, my vassal, bondsman, or whatever you wish to call it. Good for you, because you then will remain alive, and good for me, as I do not have to buy myself a slave at the horrendously high prices they have nowadays, and I get one more powerful than I could have hoped. Do you agree to the terms?"

-"Hmm. Although I don't know where the prementioned kitchens are, finding them would be a good excersise for me to have better orientation in the city."
He turned around, nodding as he passed the revolutionaires. "Great... So this wall doesn't have a visible way of getting down, either. I suppose we all have our... ups and downs." Ein then simply jumped down off the wall, landing on one of the streets below. He walked down the street, looking at the houses around him. "Heh... the huts I saw in Lawessov don't even compare to these houses. This city must've been designed and created (recreated?) by someone skilled."
As Ein was deep in his thoughts, he eventually reached the city square. "Ah, the centre of the city. Which way now?"
--- --- ---
Gerard continued his path to find a distillation apparatus. After about 30 minutes of solid walking, he reached a town. However, the people in the town were somewhat rushing. There were also a lot of soliders, who looked suspiciously like Crimson Empire's minions. He spotted an idle person.
-"Good day to you. Might you know where I can find a distillation apparatus? Perhaps there's one in this town?"
The person he was talking to looked exactly like a 10 year old who just heard all of the principles of Earth's gravitation.
-"A distillmation what? Oh, you're talking about a witchcraft device, no doubt. I really don't know, but they say that all witchcraft devices come from one location. I'll be damned if I can remember what that location is, though."
Gerard scratched his forehead. "Hmm, no pie for me today."
-"Alright, well, perhaps you have some junk you'd sell me? After all... One man's junk is another one's treasure."
-"Yes, actually! This is not exactly junk, but I've no idea what to do with it. Here."
The villager handed Gerard a small chunk of silvery-white material.
-"Ah, i see. I'll give you 20 gold for this."
-"20 gold...?"
-"Yes, unfortunately I don't have any more at the moment." The piles of gold in Gerard's inner pocket suddenly got heavier for a second.
-"Okay... Well, I guess I should do that, then. After all, I wasn't expecting any pay for this."
-"Thank you, kind stranger." With these words, Gerard went deeper into the city.
//The city he's in is incidentally Redvik, but I'm using vague descriptions because I don't know what it looks like, either. please excuse me if i make any mistakes in the descriptions.\\

"No logical reason?" Duilin asked. "But is there any logical reason for us not to fight?" He takes a few stepps foward. "So, anyways, perhaps we should use this 'unbreakable law of physics' instead of talking, because that seems not to get us anywere."

He turns his head and looks at Zeros'. "I say we fight him. Talking doesn't stop anything." He looks back at Haraldur, and takes a few more stepps foward...

"And what, pray, is it that you are wanting to stop?"

Haraldur prepared a spell in his cloak behind his back, a circular serrated blade of pure light energy, mostly gamma rays, which would home in on the neck of its target.

Ein came up to a pair of townspeople, who were intently arguing over something.
-"Hello...?"
The two people turned to Ein.
-"Hello, comrade. How can I help you?", said one of them.
-"I'm looking for the kitchens... Do you know where they might be?"
--- --- ---
Gerard came inside one of the houses, spotting a man with white hair sitting behind a table on a chair. He came up to him.
-"Hello sir. I am but a humble merchant, might you have any wares for sale?"
//that means Valos, as I understood he was in Redvik\\

The revolutionary said, "Follow me."

//Assuming Ein follows...//

He led Ein accross the square to the Northeast, to the tower, now replaced, that had been "teleported to Limbo" by Zeros', and pointed into a large building from which the smell of leek and potato soup was wafting through the air invitingly.

"Bon apetit, comrade."

The revolutionary left and returned to the square, an to his debate.

Tesla moved his hands around, forming a red transparent dome above his head, which enlarged to encompass the whole of the Laus peninsula south of the northernmost tower in Laus. Any damage would go directly to Tesla, for him to handle.

Above the city, the whole sky became red, and the people started to carry their weapons around more often.

"How does follower sound, oh I don't suppose it matters though, I wasn't really looking forward to dying anytime soon."

He didn't really want to be a slave, but he had had it worse. He looked down at the ground for a moment.

"Fine I agree to your terms, but you should at least give me your name in return."

(Ein: Valos is in an army camp south of Redvik, waiting to strike at Laus.  It's at least a good walk away.  Here is a description of the city.)

Historically, Redvik is the name of the large fortress at the center of the city, however most people nowadays refer to the town as Redvik as well.  The fortress is much less glamorous than the Crimson Palace, much more blocky and bleak.  There is an odor about the air, some sort of pollution likely from the fact that the fortress also serves as the Crimson Empire's primary airship manufacturing facility, which extends deep under the streets, with serveral large 'trap door' style gateways scattered around the fortress in which airships enter and exit.

The city, surrounded by a standard wall, isn't gigantic, but not exactly small.  A select part of the population work and live inside the fortress (under military contract) as engineers, scientists, and alchemists on airship production and... various other... projects...  The rest of the population are largely maintenance workers, etc. and a few merchants.

Redvik is under the supervision of General Vincent, who seems to resent the sit-and-watch position (and who I may make a character later, if the story goes that way) and Chief Wallace, who is in charge of airship production (that fat guy from chapter 4.  Heh...)

Currently security is tight, due to what is happening just south in Laus, and very few people are being let in the fortress.

----

Draven raised an eyebrow at the Generalísimo.

"Ermh...  well... I don't think that would be of much use...  Have you no air units?  No capable troops you could land on the shores, even?"

----

Ven shielded his face from the heat as the zombie exploded in flame.  Impressive!  Ven ignored the other zombie and made a mad dash straight for the source...

"Hss!  Wait!  What are you doing?!  NOOOO!!!"

Without a word Ven attacked with a full overhead swing, which the necromancer blocked with his staff, the momentum sending him flying backwards and rolling on the ground.  On the third roll the necromancer lifted to his feet, and dashed into the forest madly.

"Masster!!!  Ssave Degzgronzooo~!!!"

Cloak flowing behind, Ven followed in a full sprint.

----

"Sir!  The general is--!!"

The Lieutenant with the red pendant pushed the soldier out of the way.  His grin widened and his eyes began to burn...  He walked up to the tent and ripped the opening apart with his right hand.  He immediately recognized Valos as the general due to his unique uniform and medal.  He snapped to attention, performing the Crimson Empire salute, with the left hand, however...

"Sir... I have a message for you..."

He stayed frozen for a second... then without warning, performed a mad jump at the general, literally flying over a wooden table and knocking a chair down, his right hand grasping for the general's neck...

"DIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I tell noone my name," the Prophet said, "and I remain the only living person in the world, except one, who knows it. That one, who is now my enemy, I believe still has sufficient respect to keep his lips sealed. People usually call me The Great Prophet, The Prophet, or simply Prophet. I have encouraged this.

"Now, we are going to visit my acolytes. You will find your life not too arduous I hope. You might even learn something. Jump onto the saddle, you are to hold my waist in order to stop yourself from falling off. Oh, and here is the antidote."

He chucked a small phial to Hyperion.

He will fly west at a leisurely pace one Hyperion gets on.

"Ah, so you are not a fan of cheap diversionary tactics? OK." Salazar smiled. "We do have a large army of soldiers capable of magical flight: they have been most useful in destroying monarchist resistance in the mountain regions."

//DAMN! Sorry about that, guys. I'll patch everything up. Also, am i going a little too fast...?\\

The man turned around, facing Gerard.
-"No, I do not. I'm sorry."

--- --- ---
After having a nice meal at the kitchens, Ein exited them and started wandering around the city, spectating the setting of it.

Zeros' stepped infront of Haraldur, and stared up at him.

"I have no reason to fight you? You call manipulating Gaia, the place my mother protects, something I can't fight against you for? Well then, Haraldur, your sadly mistaken," he said to the man. He saw the barrier rise up, but, ignored it as of now.

 It would fall upon us...
Well I hope there\'s someone out there...Who can bring me back to you.\"

Valos, being caught off guard, wraps his hands around his attacker's arm, trying to pull his arm away, as he grabs his neck. He then lifts his leg, and swings his foot in an attempt to kick him away.

-------

Duilin stared at Haraldur. A gust of wind began to circle around him, and bolts of energy flue threw him, he clenched his fists, and closed his eyes. He opened them, and they were glowing a slight golden colour. He then opened his hands and placed them together, he then slid his hands apart and formed a large blade of energy (Like the one he made at the end of Chapter 5). He then blasted his way towards Haraldur at great speed; he then flipped over Haraldur and swung the blade at Haraldur's back, at amazing speed.

--------

"Holy crap!" Rink shouted out loud. "I've never seen Duilin go that speed before in an attack. Zeros' does that all the time, but Duilin...never..." Rink pressed his hand against his forehead. "I'm getting worried..."

"Your mother is a fool. The world should be used for the benefit of sentients, not the other way around. Besides, what is so special? This is just a rock. Any magician of sufficient power can create similar objects. There is nothing special, except the sentient lives. She should go and defend some other lump of rock so as to be out of my way. I think her time as my father's whore must have damaged her psychologically. You have no logical reason to fight me."

Haraldur watched impassively as time slowed for him, and he saw Duilin moving in slow motion flipping over him. He stepped aside and turned very fast, while Duilin was still in slow motion. He moved his hand from behind his back, bringing out of his cloak light blade/disc, looking a bit like a circular saw. He threw it at Duilin, and it started spinning. It curved around and then followed Duilin constantly accelerating.

Time went back to normal, and Haraldur curved around in his flight to be on the North side of the two half-demons. He then started to quickly fly backwards, right into Redvik, his original destination.

He held his right arm out to his side, and a plasma gun appeared, and then he started firing at the two half-demons.

//Damn... I may need to pull out. I'm losing every trace I have of a life.

Zion ignited the other one with another casting of Crimson while Tsu took off after the necromancer, on foot.

//Xenai wasn't asleep, but with how I've been slacking off here lately, he might as well be.

"Alw... alw...ays... good de... zzz... cision..." He wasn't supposed to drink himself to sleep. He messed up. Not good.

--- --- ---

An eyebrow raised. Wait a second, something's not... She looks off somewhere else... OMFG GUN. She dives as she starts to get shot at, rolling to her feet, and taking cover behind a tree. She gathers a moderate amount of energy to the finger and takes aim... "Ray!" And a ray of light energy shoots out at Marshal. Wait a second... Did I go into a standing coma or something? What happened to that other guy? Is he inside the base camp? General Valos...! Damn! Gotta take this guy out fast and help Valos!
