Dark Age Legends

[Haraldur]

"Get on with it then, comrade," said Haraldur to Marshall. "By the way, these orbs will also be able to portal you directly to here with no chance of scatter, from any location in space (though not in time, that was difficult to do. It would be pointless for you to come back here in space and in time, right?)."

Quintus nodded, and said, "As you wish. I only need a small garrison to repair and man this fortress anyway."

[Zeros']

Zeros' nodded to the king, and waved farewell. He walked back towards the tunnel, the sound of the celebrations behind, as he looked up, and saw the lights on Gaian's Moon.

He stopped, and nudged Duilin.

"Look up there," he said, pointed towards the sky. Even thought it was daylight out, because of all the strange happenings on Gaian lately, the moon was visible, even in daytime now.

Allen stopped, as Aura's light reached a large cave. There was nothing here, expect, a small natural rock formation that seemed to form steps.

Allen walked forwards, and stopped, looking level with the highest point on rocks. He smirked, and pointed. Hanging in mid-air, there seemed to be some sort of... Glowing line.

"Here it is..." he murmured.

[Dude Man]

Darak nodded. He recognized the people as those new allies that were with Duilin and Valos on certain occasions.

"Oh yes. I believe I know whom you are speaking of. I'm unsure of how Draven is at the moment. I saw the large gauntlet holding one, and another one chase him off, in the direction of the capital." He then rubbed his chin.

"Perhaps you could assist me, in getting there? I don't have any magic ability, such as flotation..."

Marshal nodded and then walked off towards one of the creatures. He studied it, and then aimed the gem on his amulet; it then glowed and began sparking. "Ooopss..." Marshal groaned. After a few minutes, he then walked towards the group. "Alright, I think I've got it. So, are we off now?"

"Holy smokes..." Duilin said softly in amazement. The moon had glowing all over it, he wasn't sure at all what was happening, his first thought was some sort of strange eclipse. "What's going on with the moon?"

[Haraldur]

//Just a point of clarification: these lights, while bright, are small, and very numerous, and are moving around quite fast and quite randomly. Therefore, bright spots are where they have randomly bunched up (before then dispersing), and dark spots are where there are very few. Therefore, the moon is twinkling!//

[Trent]

Xenai, being the comical smartass he was, would be the one to make the offer and joke about it. He bent over, as if offering a piggyback ride, held his hand to his mouth and made PA sounds. //I'm assuming this technology exists on the Crimson ships already.//

"*pssht* This is the Xenai Omega express, offering one lucky soldier a free ride. *pssht* Ah, yes, you there, you're our lucky rider! Come on down! *pssht* The smartass will depart in 2.12746 minutes. Board now, or the smartass will leave without you. *pssht* Have a nice day, and enjoy your Omega flight. *pssht*"

Zion and Tsu laugh at Xenai. The guy was naturally funny.

Aura looked up at the thing. It looked kinda pretty... "Is that it there? What about traps? There has to be SOME."

[Xorlak]

Vincent organized his new troops quickly and they were off, moving in tight formations and at a quick pace.  It wasn't long before they were over the western horizon of the rugged, barren terrain of the central area Dark Continent.

Once they were at a steady pace he stepped to the side as the legion moved past so that he could get a chance to study the odd seemingly pulsating light emanating from the moon in the daytime sky...  He removed a small collapsible telescope from his right  trench coat pocket and took a gander at it.

"Hmmm..."

The magnified image revealed many tiny points of light pulsating around the heavenly body.

"Interesting."

At the very least, he felt like he should keep an eye on it...

Darak rolled his eyes. For the first time in his entire life, he felt embarrassed about not being able to fly. He then got onto Xenia in the most nonsexual way he possibly could.

He watched as Zion and Tsu laughed. "Shut up..." He groaned. He then turned his head and looked forward trying not to make eye contact with Xenia. "Just go..." He sighed.

[Trent]

"Come on, man! Lighten up!" Xenai grinned and took off, Zion and Tsu following.

[Xorlak]

After the feast was over, Henri retired to his chamber seeming somewhat troubled.  Ven noticed this and followed him through the long stone hallways, managing to catch up to him before the older man made it to his thick oak doors.  Henri seemed to be expecting Ven.

"Odd..."

"Is something the matter, my liege?"

"I can no longer detect Emperor Draven or Haraldur.  They seemed in a battle earlier and I was 'watching' them before, well, you know... But they both seemed to have disappeared off of the face of Gaian now..."

"Perhaps they have destroyed each other?  We should throw another feast!"

"I doubt that, Ven.  I doubt that..."

[Dude Man]

"Oh well." Darak mumbled. "So, how long until we get there?"

//Trent, I suppose you should choose when we get to the former location of the Crimson Capital.\\

[Xorlak]

Walking along side his massive legion, Vincent happened to look over his shoulder and spot three specs just over the horizon to the southwest.  Pulling out his telescope, he could see them quite clearly.  Three men he did not recognize flying out of their own power, and a fourth being carried by one of them.  Hmmm, the forth is wearing a Crimson Empire officer uniform.  Interesting...

He held out his left hand, signaling the marching legion to stop.

Vincent, still wearing his Crimson Empire general medallions himself, wanted to find out what exactly they were doing...  He pointed to a rocky hill closer to the incoming men.

"Get up there and flag them down.  I want to talk to them."

Ten soldiers from the closest row ran towards the hill and began waving at Zion, Xenai, Tsu, and Darak...

[Dude Man]

Darak pointed the soldiers signaling them. "Over there!" He said. "Some people over there. I belive I see one of the generals." He added. "Let's stop here."

[Trent]

"I suppose it will be 10 to 20... Oh, okay." The trio landed there where Darak specified, Xenai slowly standing upright to let Darak off.

[Zeros']

Zeros' shook his head at Duilin, in response to his question about the twinkling moon.

"I have no idea, Duilin... But, I can assure you that it can't be anything good... Probably not at this time, anyways," he failed to mention he could sense Haraldur's forces on the moon, with his connection to Gaian.

"Anyways, let's move on. Sitting here, staring at the moon isn't going to get us anywhere," he said, and continued to walk, towards the tunnel they came from.

Allen smirked slightly.

"There are no traps," he said, before walking around the small thin line, and up the formations of rocks. He looked down, and smiled a bit.

Instead of a small, thin, slightly glowing line, there was now a pool of translucent water, shimmering slightly, reflecting the ceiling above them.

"This, is the trap... The pool, is the trap," he murmurred.

[Dude Man]

Darak then hopped off and then slowly approached the group of soldiers.

Duilin rubs his chin and as he looks at the moon a bit more.

Rink then nudges him, in the leg, due to his lack of height. "Come, on. Let's go."

Duilin nods and then they walk to the tunnel.
