Nevina started talking in tongues again; attempting a divine protection type spell for Zev.
Her hands flailed in odd motions, many beaconing to the sky. Energy came out of her hands in a cone shape and stuck Zev, and suddenly he felt as though he had great strength, and his skin became rough like a leather hide. (This is a temperary spell. He isn't gonna be cow hide boy forever, heh) He was now able to swing his rapier with incredible ease.
Nevina drew her Holy dirk and her scimitar, inabling her to fight with 2 weapons (It's incredibly hard to swing a bastard sword 1 handed you know.. specially when you've hardly ever used one in your life..)
She realized it's going to be hard to fight these creatures with Qeni on her back, especially if Qeni was not to be harmed.
Nevina found a nook in a great tree. She put Qeni in the nook and prayed to the tree. The tree was now holy ground and the creatures could not get near Qeni without burning.
Nevina smirked and Charged head on into the group of creatures, a white aura glowing around her. (a protection spell that is triggered automatically when she reaches extreme anger) The aura provided her with a holy barrier between her and the creatures.
She slew creature after creature; decapitating them with scimitar (They must be decapitated or stuck my a holy force to die), gutting them with her Holy Dirk, and one or two of the shadowy figures died from their own stupidity, touching the Holy Aura.
The aura faded after she slaughted 10 creatures, for the barrier can't last long (wouldn't be fun if she could slaughter them all that easy, eh?).
Nevina then slashed her Scimitar at one of the creatures. The creature had long white hair with black streaks and a sunken in face. Nevina aimed her slash to take off his head, but he guarded with his Trident, then stabbed her in the stomach after the clang on steel against steel.
Nevina started bleeding perfusly, and she ran the best she could, to get away from the creature while she tried to cast heal.
Nevina said the incantation, apllied her hand to her wound, and it shrunk, but not completey. She did not have enough strength to cast a spell strong enough to cure the wound completely, so it still pained her.
She charged at the creature that dealt the blow, this time aiming to gut and decapitate at the same time. He blocked the scimitar, but he did not see the dirk coming, and he was stabbed, dying instantly, though it felt like an infinity to the creature.
The remaining 8 that had been chasing her now seemed to coware when she looked at them.
