(DM knows what I'm talking about.  Heh...)

Melface nodded, then smirked.

"The caves...  I followed them in once.  Had a few meals in the city..."  He licked his lips.  "I'm sure I could remember the way back..."

He held his cloak open, as if preparing a bow.

"If you can ensure my scent is masked, I can disguise your physical appearances..."

He then finished the bow. And after doing so, a tiny off-white colored bat stood in his place, striking the same pose.

"... if you don't mind being animals," he finished, speaking into their minds.

----

A black shrouded figure was slowly making his way to the caves.

"Who's that?"

"A kid?"

"Or a midget.  Hey, you!  Halt!"

The two Tjedian guards took a few steps down the path to approach the figure.  A half dozen more waited at the mouth of the cave.

The short figure was draped entirely in black, a hood covering his face.  On his back was strapped an ornate sword, a tad large for his size.  In his left hand he also was carrying a much longer thin sword by the sheath.

"Hey kid, it's dangerous here.  You should--"

The guards stopped about five feet away when they saw the black nose sticking out of the hood.

"Who are you?"

The figure didn't say anything, but angled his chin up a bit, allowing the sunlight to sneak in, reflecting off of his cold, hazel eyes.  The hood pressed against Virmir's ears, making them seem like pointed horns underneath the cloth.

The guards put their hands on their sword hilts.

Sliver blurs fell from the sky.  All of them died in but a few seconds.

Virmir threw the hood back, then walked around the corpses.

And sighed.

----

"Vincent," the alchemist nodded at the large elf.  "A pleasure."  He had the detached air of one who'd met with important figures all his life and was no longer impressed with them.

"Are you okay?  You're really sweating a lot.  Hurt your arm?"  Ven asked softly into the black-coated alchemist's ear.

Vincent blinked at Ven and then wiped the sweat from his brow.  He was looking fairly pasty.

"Quite all right," he replied.  He then unbuttoned the top of his coat and removed a small tube.  He opened the top and poured a few white pills into his hand, which he promptly swallowed.  "Though, I could use a break.  The manor is this way?"

A random Drannivolka pointed down the road, and Vincent politely nodded in thanks.  He quickly scuffled off, with a bit of a limp.

Ven shrugged.  Probably had to use the restroom.

The silver knight took the time to glance around at the magnificent forested city.  The crystalline walls were particularly striking.  There were more of the feline people here, along with a good deal of elves.  He'd had experience fighting along side non-humans before, but he'd never been in an army in which humans were the minority.  How differently would they fight?  He smiled in anticipation, almost looking forward to the battle...

----

The Dark Emperor took a few slow steps towards the girl.

"What is it that you can contribute to my already invincible forces?  What can you pull from the depths of the abyss that my servants have yet to produce?  Tell me how you will impress me, and perhaps in my boundless generosity, I will allow you to serve..."

Indher now fully turned towards Retan. Eventualy she ceased focusing on his crimson eyes and closed hers, lower her head as she sighs.

"I have discovered... The god of death."

A shudder run through her body as she said it.

"It is a being which, from what I understand, absorbed the power of all dying souls during their journey to the afterlife since the dawn of Gaian. As invincible as your army is, this being is so powerful it could probably wipe it all out on it's own and still have enough power left to remove the dark continent from the face of the planet. I was obnoxious when I tried to summon him on my own... It drained my power to the point I collapsed."

She raised her head, looking back at the emperor.

"If, however, I am to recieve enough aid in the form of magical energy, I would certainly be able to summon him. All that would remain is for the way to subdue it into the Dark Empire's service, and that is one thing I do not have a solution for."

"There's that blue tan again in a fire. What the HELL??? Why is the fire behaving like this here, in the Arctic region? I have GOT to find time to find out about this..."

--- --- ---

-"I'm sorry, who?"

Andre encountered the name before, but he could not bring himself to remember who exactly it was. For now, the machine works - that's the most important thing.

-"Do not worry about that now. Where did you put me? Where is my soulstone?"

-"You, sir, are inside of a large machine that we found in Old Kandarin."

-"A machine..." Skorn was inspecting his limbs once the sense of the sentence fully got to him. "Are we no longer in Kandarin? Are you not one of the Sovereignty?"

-"We are, sir. Old Kandarin was severely damaged, and we fled here, to the Arctic Region."

Skorn paced around a little, making his first attempt to walk in his new body. He noticed his wings, probably due to their weight on his back, and flapped them a little.

-"Arctic Region... What generation is the current Marshal?"

-"Seventh. He is now called Sovereign."

-"Sovereign... Sovereignty... Why didn't I think of that?"

-"That is what he said, too, sir. Could you tell us now who exactly you are?"

The mechanism let out what sounded to be a sigh.

-"I suppose they don't teach you your history, then... I created the Sovereignty."

Jorge slapped his head.

-"Oh, you're that Skorn!"

The lack of respect towards Skorn seemed to pass him by completely. He appeared to be completely apathetic to anything but his new body.

-"I knew preserving my soul within a shard of dark glass was a good idea. I sense more of the glass within this creature. It is spread all across my body... but the most of it is in my back."

The circular hatch on the mechanism's back opened. Jorge and Andre gasped in unison, as they could not open that very hatch every time they tried. A broken-off stump of the dark glass cannon showed itself from within the creature's depths.

-"I can feel the energy from all over my body poised to be channeled into that rod upon my back. I think I'll try it..."

-"Sir, don't! It seems to be chipped off. We must first repair your new body fully before you can start to use it to its full potential."

-"Very well. Repair me."

The mechanism lay down on the floor, and shut itself off. Skorn was asleep.

The great manor was now fully in view. It was all pure silver with crystaline shards poking out, and chrystal windows with golden trimming. It was amazingly large as well. It held four bedrooms with three beds per room. It's grand hall was especially spectacular with two grand stairways leading up to the bedrooms. It had a training area to the right, and a kitchen and dining area to the left.

"I can't believe Anaxese would let us use this! We'll, I bet you all would like a bit of shut eye. Tomorrow, we'll plan our attack. Oh, there should be some food in the kitchen, if anyone's hungry, along with some meds in the training area." Aaron couldn't hold his stance for much longer. He headed upstairs and ploped down, falling asleep immediately.

------------

"They won't likely attack me if I'm in the castle courtyard... too many people. It's worth a shot, though. I'll follow your lead, then." Ben waited for Duilin to go, standing right behind.

//Uh, Drannic you're talking about 'tomorrow' when really in the DAL universe right now, the day actually just started, and it's assumed to be a chapter lasts 'a day'. Just thought I'd clear that up.\

"Well, it's pretty early. So not a lot of people would be out." Duilin replied. //I'm assuming it's like sunrise right now, correct?\

The group then headed to the courtyard of the castle; there was a statue of the king in the middle of a grassy yard, with four stone paths connecting to it.

"It's pretty nice here." Rink said.

Lagart nodded. "Tjed is so pretty." He said, giving a lizard-like smile.

"Well, hopefully we can keep it that way. I've got a bad feeling that we'll have to deal with a lot more than just evil fake angels." Duilin said to the group.

--- ---

"No...I don't mind." Ophelia answered.

"Make Rufokanno a wolf. Rufo's tribe loved red wolf...." Rufokanno stated.

"So, Rufo, you're sure you'll be able to block them from sensing us." Ophelia asked, trying to reinsure.

"Yes. Use telekinetic shield, blocks mostly anything. Yet warn you, shield may flicker, or even ware off in worst case. But if we quick, they no detect us." Rufokanno replied.

//If you didn't get that, because of his terrible English, he said that he creates telekinetic shields that blocks stuff, including people trying to sense out auras. But it isn't perfect, as it might 'flicker', or ware off.\

//Graduation party kept me away from here.

Anti quickly caught onto Draven's shenanigans, and started to fly around Draven, in a spiral. Starting far away, he would slowly close the distance as he circled around. As he flew, he started to rapid-fire small energy blasts towards the man in the center of his spiral.

The other lizard man glared at the count and then lifted his weapon and ran towards him. Vandrin then raised his hand and pointed it towards the oncoming enemy and shot a cyan cloud from his hands, towards the lizard men. With his sword the lizard blocked the projectile, and it exploded in a puff of blue-green smoke on his blade.

The bladesmen then drew out their swords and charged at the lizard man. The beast swung his blade at one of them slicing it across the chest. The rest of the warriors continued to swing their weapons at the lizard, which was able to block a few hits, and kill another bladesmen, but was soon knocked down to the ground, they pinned him to the ground, and Vandrin stepped towards him. "See you in morning, my reptilian friend!" He then shot another cloud of 'sleeping gas' at the lizard man, and it fell asleep.

"Tie him up, with the others." Vandrin ordered. The bladesmen nodded, they seemed to have a new found respect for the count, when they saw him actually fight a lizard man by himself and win.

In the blink of an eye, there were three off-white furred wolves sitting on the floating plank of wood in the places of the three former figures.

"Apologies," the smallest one said.  Melface appeared as an adolescent, not quite fully grown.  Rufo was the largest of the three, and Ophelia was slender and lightly built.  "I cannot do colors.  And we'd best be the same species, lest they think we're some sort of traveling ring of circus pets."  He paused and picked his paw up, examining his claw.

"Though wolves are a good choice.  Pack animals.  Villagers will stay away.  Guards may want trouble, but I will take care of them if any approach."  He grinned, revealing a set of fanged yellowed teeth and licked his chops.  He stood up on all fours.  "I will be waiting for you near the beaches north of Kesnar.  From there we sneak through the caves..."

With that, the wolf leapt into the water.  Before his paws hit the liquid he seemed to vanish, and trickles appeared over the waves heading back towards Tjed.

----

"Vincent? Are you in there?"

Ven knocked on the door.  There were only four rooms, with three beds each, so they would have to share rooms unlike their trip over on the ship.  What could he be doing in there?

----

That idiot knight again...  Vincent ignored the knocks.

His left hand was useless now, and it hung limply like a noodle.  The fingers were starting to melt, drips falling onto the wooden floor...  Blast it.  He was cutting it too close.

Sweat pouring from his face, he feverishly drew the alchemic symbols on the floor with this good hand, sketching out the wide symbols and circles in chalk.  At first he only had to perform the reconstruction once a month.  Then in became once every few weeks...  More and more it lost its potency, and he now found himself having to perform the ritual every single day...  He'd need to find another solution.  Soon...

----

The Dark Emperor Retan seemed to chuckle.  Slightly.

"Every single Demon Lord thinks himself a god.  I've bounded over a dozen to my service.  They are effective Generals... if properly conditioned.  The underworld remains untamed and unclaimed, and it too shall bow before me.  Come then, Summoner.  Call forth this so called 'god', and I will teach him his place."

He turned and strode out the door. "Give her what she needs. Immediately," he coldly said as he passed Grav.  The lizard looked at Indher with wide eyes and blinked.

"Y-yes my Lord..."

After the Dark Emperor left, Grav stood, dusting off his robes.  "Well then, come on!  Blast it..."

The rest of the room filed out to follow.

----

"Blast it!!"

Draven slashed and slashed as the thing spun around him, sending searing energy cutters flying into the sky, but the demon was a step ahead  of him.  Soon he gave into deflecting the oncoming onslaught of blasts sent his way with his crimson blade.

He was reactionary.  The demon merely waited for Draven to strike, then capitalized on any opening.  It was infuriating... Draven brought his arms to his side, his flaming sword disappearing, and his aura flared brightly.  He'll fix him..

Thrusting his arms outward, the burning man exploded.  Scorching flames were sent in all directions as his aura expanded rapidly as a thundering wave.  The incoming spheres of energy were shattered as the distance between the fire wall and Anti's spiral was very quickly shortened...

Indher chuckled as the dark emperor left.

"Oh, uhm, lizard, or whatever your name is..." Indher shot at Grav.
"I also need a room as big as that cave I was found in. It was about..."

She paused, turning towards the bull and skunk creature.
The bull didn't seem up to measuring.

"Hey, skunk boy, you tell him how big it was. I can't remember."

((I assume we shall arrive in our destination the next post?))

Not far from the coast of Tjed, a small fishing ship was nearing the coast. The old wood was dark, and covered in green slime looking water plants. Were a white sail used to be, only an old wooden stick can be found. A normal human would say that this boat would be unaible to move, and that it was a wonder that it didn't sink yet.
On the boat a few small bags were lying, once filled with all sorts of foods, they were now empty, except one backpack, this one looked very expencive. The beautifull leather from an unkown beast was decorated by red looking crystals.
There was also a young man, sitting on an a box, with a cat on his legs. The cat was sleeping and had light green eyes just like the man she was sitting on. The man had very light hair, and his clothes looked very tidy, even new, completly unfitting the boat. With a kind smile on his face the man petted the cat and said;
- "Finaly we arive somewhere, however I have no idea where. I realy suck at finding the way.." The man made a tired smile, but he didn't look tired at all.

The sound of the people around the beach was louder, and the man looked toward the coast. - "This realy doesn't remind me of anything... I gues this is a new adventure isn't it, Nina?" - The cat yawned.
The man took a small notebook, clapped with his arms, when a small writing feather apeared. It was shinging and almost fully white as light. He started writing in the notebook, and on the crimson cover, white on red, "Diary of Shuichi" was written.

//Too tired to make a big detailed post right now.\

"Yeah. Sure go a head." Firstman said, he put his pointer finger on his lower up and scanned the room, and stopped when he spotted an opened crate, he then pointed at it. "Yeah, we have some food over there."

--- ---

"Excellent." Rufokanno commented. "White not Rufo's colour, but it do."

Ophelia simply nodded her head in reply to Melface before he disappeared.

Rufokanno then pushed forth the board across the water towards Kensar...

Whoa, that's hot! He quickly accelerated backwards, away from the fantastic explosion. "It seems I've struck a nerve." He smirked. "It's my turn. Allow me to strike a few more." He pointed his hands at Draven, and converted to the offensive. To avoid consuming too much of his own being, he charged up a bit, a large ball of energy building up in front of his hands.

Walking down the path, away from his now charred down home along with his owls, he continued to think to himself of what happened all of a sudden. Is his life changing right before his eyes?  It was 5 hours before when everything changed ever since he discovered that green sword. Does the sword contain answers? What of the old man who proclaimed the premonition to him, if you can call it a premonition? Why did he garner more strength after inhaling smoke? Why did the trees aimed to kill him? He was beginning to believe he is a enigma more so than he believed before.

It was dark. The moon shone outside but with a blue hue on it. The area was covered with a faint blue mist. It wasn't like the black fog he was use to but it would do. Quadricentennial figured there was a town not long from here. He decided not to stay the night but what of the continuing of the journey? Would he stroll through it? He hated people because they all seemed the same: greedy, self-centered, arrogant. But what could he do? If he had to pass through it, he'd figure out a way to stay behind the shadows.

(//I haven't caught up with the RP. It is dark here but incase it's still daylight somehwere else, don't let it bother you since it's not really important to the story, it's just to show you were exactly he is, whic his prob in the middle of nowhere.)

Two Tjedian guards walked side by side, patrolling the beach.

"Hey, is that a dog?"

"Huh?  Looks like it."

A small white wolf sat several feet in front of them, wagging his tail and panting.

"Looks freindly.  Here boy!"

What.

Do.

You.

FEAR?!

...

*FLASH!*

The man on the left was consumed by a flock of rabid ravens, picking apart his flesh as he screamed ghastly symphonies.  The man on the right?  Giant cockroaches.

"Mmmm... delicious..."
