// I don't need much from Vincent, all I wanted to do was to get his form over with, and start him on building my new airships to lay ruin to all that is Dark Empire. >:[ Then you can go back to regularly not updating him. \
-"Yes, sir."
The guard took out a silver orb, and whispered something into it. Moments later the Scribe appeared from the wall, using a previously dim glyph. The sigil was now glowing from its recent use. Cain was beaming.
-"You couldn't've come at a better time, Mr. Eldridge. I suppose we'd better get you a new avatar first, and then discuss certain things the Sovereign requested of you. So, what will your new form be?"

"After wasting a sufficiently long amount of time, I finally decided to get to business regarding Draven's weapons. Being the careful-" Here, the word "careful" was scratched out, and, in someone else's writing, corrected to "paranoid." "overlord that I am, I set up a multitude of recording and measuring devices around the throne room prior to Draven's arrival. The devices were particularly effective in breaking down his own dagger's aura, giving me an idea of what to look for. Sending out a mild jolt of Necromantic energy through my tower, which, after modifications, acted as a resonator, I took control of about 300 weakling zombies on the Crimson continent. They had a simple order - follow the aural patterns of the weapons and bring them back if they find any."
//this means that your characters can encounter a random undead or two crawling about. They aren't tough at all, but they will try to escape if attacked. Note: not all of these zombies are in one place, they're spread out evenly around the northern coast of the continent. They will be making their way further in as my posts continue, though.\

...and thus passed two more years. Ein followed the advice of the headmaster, and used other Stalker class training halls. During the lectures, he learned quite a bit about Kandarin. He finally realized that he wasn't in the Kandarinian chain at all, but rather in the Arctic Region. Odd how he didn't notice the lack of water around the city - though he really never went out of its premises.
The training halls required quite a bit of resilience. Ein was most interested in working with instructor Gamall, who taught the usage of glyphs. If those could be used to enhance his old crossbow, they should do miracles for the new spear gun. However, as the instructor went on about all the different types of glyphs and how to use them, Ein realized that he would not likely have the time to draw them during a battle.
One day, during his practices in the glyph users' seclusion chambers, he noticed that he wasn't alone. The thin girl with the gauntlet-mounted bow was there as well. She was enchanting a batch of her bolts.
-"Ein! How bes you?"
-"..."
-"Eris."
-"Right. How are you then, Eris?"
-"I bes well. Bes them glyph hard to make. Bes you here for them glyph drawingses as well?"
-"...Why are you talking like that?"
-"All woodsie peoples talks like me. Bes you not know them woodsie peoples?"
-"No..."
Eris removed a lock of hair from her neck, revealing an intricate, Celtic-looking tattoo. It started at the base of her shoulders, going up all the way to the temple. Ein has never seen anything quite like this before.
-"That still doesn't tell me anything."
-"*Sigh* Cityfool... Us woodsie peoples was taken by them Kronos, as slaves. Bes our wish to slays the bloody snake. Bes them rotted minions of Kronos then fall lifeless, so wes can get back to them woodsie. I was birthed here, so I bes unknownful of them leafies, but Grans and Granps says it's the best place on earth."
Ein stared at her blankly.
-"What?"
-"Bes you still not understandsie me?"
-"No, I mean, why are Kandarinians letting you into their academy?"
-"Oh. Them Granps has... how he saysie... "connections" in them academy. Bes he the cousin of them Kragos, I don't know. He made them screening process make me pass through. Bes not ask how. Bes I not have them answer. Anyways, you still bes a cityfool. Helpsie me with them bloody glyph drawingses."
Ein rubbed his chin.
-"Making glyphs is one thing, and an easy one at that... you just have to remember them. However, right now, I'm trying to figure out how to decrease the time required to make a glyph. Still blank on ideas."
-"Bes easy. Them Grans did glyph drawingses as well. Bes she put them more-often used ones on her skinsie."
-"You mean she carved the sigils directly into her skin?"
-"...yes, that bes a way of putting it. When she was making them jokeses, she made them glyph on her skinsie turn thingses into gold. So when she touched something, bes that thing turn into them gold version of itself. It was funsy for a time, but then she bes turn my cat to gold."
-"Did she get rid of the glyph, then?"
-"No, bes chopp'd off her hand and made her turn Fluffsy back to animal."
-"I see... well, thanks, Eris. I've gotta get running."
-"Wait, cityfool! Helpsie me with them glyph dra-!"
Ein, however, was already gone.
