"I don't know... I guess you can help. I'll need as much as I can get, because I'm no priest... at least... not any longer. First off, make sure all of Ven's wounds are closed. I'll prepare the runes and the runestone for the ritual." Justin walked over to the bedroom and pulled out the dresser, and then the bed. He then set the runestone on the floor.

"Hmm... I guess this will have to do." He took out another runestone, but this one had no runes on it; it glowed blue on the tip, however. He took the tip of the runestone and began crafting the runes for the ritual. It was a circle and some wierd symbols surrounding it, and then another circle around that.

Justin left the room, and grabbed Ven, placing him in the center of the circle, then placing the runestone with the symbols on him. "Rink, get in here. If you have anything left to do, get it done now; I'm going to start the incantation..."

Justin sat on the ground around the rune circle. He clapped his hands and placed them on the ground infront of the runes inscribed on the floor. He began the incantation. "Umika no innose zumo beliar anak myrthose." He repeated this constantly, and the runes on the ground began to glow faintly...

"Umika no innose zumo beliar anak myrthose! UMIKA NO INNOSE ZUMO BELIAR ANAK MYTHOSE!!!!!!" The ground began to shake inside the room. The runes glowed brightly, and started to flicker, sending a bright white flash every other time.

"GET READY!!! HERE WE GO!" The room turned white, and there was nothing inside, but Rink, Justin, and Ven. Ven was standing up, looking somewhat transparent. They crossed over into the next realm. His spirit looked like it was indeed injured. The old injury that the undead left was still apparent on his soul. It bled slowly.

The man looked at her.
"I'm ready for everyth-"

Then a short scream was heard. There where Indher threw the rock, something began to scream. A small red.. ball?
It was to quick to see, and already hid under the ground.

Reigratto looked at Shuichi, who had a bright smile on his face now.
Shuichi jumped one step back, and revealed the reason he didn't want to help.
While standing he was secretly making signs in the sand with his leg.
He crouched on one leg and threw a small amulet in the middle of the circle.
It flashed, it became red and it changed into mist.
At the same time he took a small flask, and the mist was absorbed into it.

When he saw that the man was looking. (And maybe the woman), he quickly said with a smile;
"Don't worry.. continue with your beast sealing!"

Coriko saw Wilham step through but was still unsure of what a waited them on the other side.

"Hm, I'll show Marshall and Firstman where we are in case something is a miss."

Coriko summoned a ball of fire in his right hand then grabbed the orb with his left. He then made a throwing motion with his left hand so that the ball of fire stretched out into the sky. Coriko made a fist with his left hand and the end crunched up. Then he opened his hand as wide as he could and the end exploded. This was to get Marshall's attention. And the stretched fireball would show them where they were, like an arrow pointing to their location. Coriko let go of the fireball in his right hand and it hovered in spot.

"Alright this line should stay put for a few minutes, plenty of time for them to reach this point. And now," Coriko turned and entered the water like field.

---

Once through the field Coriko bumped into Wilham.

"Sorry about that I..." Coriko stopped when he saw the man in the black suit. "Um... what now?" Coriko whispered into Wilham's ear.

Xnhrthsnhz did not seem pleased.

..."BEAST"!? I am the great deity of death. Watch you tongue, human...

Indher shook her head.

"Calm down, blacky. They are humans. They act before they think."

..."BLACKY"...?

...I suppose you have the same problem...?

"Why yes, sorry for being part human."

She turned to the person still standing in the circle.

"Alright, let's get this over with..."

Having erased some of the old runes and replaced them with new ones, she proceeded to add another circle. She signaled the shinigami to step inside.

"Alright, ready, GO!"

The runes flashed blue, the giant disappeared, they flashed green, and soon all the light was sucked into the lone human remaining among the runes in the sand.

"Congradulations!" Indher smiled "You now have a god sleeping in your belly! Have fun and make sure to be best of friends!"

With that, she turned around and activated her orb, disappearing from sight.

"Who are you two?!" The black suited man. He pulled out a black objected that resembled a handgun, but it looked much more advanced, like Marshall's MagiPistols, but it was a dark black rather than a silvery grey (it looks identical to a modern day Colt 9mm). "Start answering!"

"It's alright. My named in Wilham Wolfe, and this is my companion Coriko." Wilham answered. "We were just searching the area for artefacts."

"Artifacts!?" The suited man replied, in disbelief. "This is the Kaled Home Base! This is hardly the place to find artifacts!"

"Kaled Home Base?" Wilham asks in confusion. He figured the field they went through transported them into a base of some empire. "Well, just a moment ago me and Coriko were just in a--"

"Enough." The suited man interrupted. "You're coming with me. Resist and you will be exterminated!"

Wilham shrugged and looked at Coriko. "We may as well play along." He said softly.

---

Wilham and Coriko found themselves in a cell room, made of metal with two cots on the opposite sides; Wilham was walking back and forth in the cell.

"I'm sure there isn't anything to worry about." Wilham assured. "If they don't allow us to explain and choose to keep us here, we can fight our way out. They probably don't even know magic, or know we know it."

Suddenly the door opened and a man wearing a similar black suit as the guard who arrested them entered. He looked like he would be an officer as he was being escorted by two other men carrying weapons that looked like advanced machineguns.

"So, how did you get here and who sent you?" The officer asked them.

//I'll either continue this next post, and maybe give Coriko a chance to speak.\

"Blaaaasst yoooooou!!!!!"

Draven's aura swelled even greater as he screamed, the burning man becoming a sun in the sky below the black clouds, bathing the entirety of the mountainous lands south of North Point in a crimson glow.  He was seethingly irate, and he poured more and more of his strength down at the demon.  The ground was in utter chaos.  Earthquakes cleaved the mountains in two.  Gysers of magma bellowed from the depths of Gaian.  The howling winds sputtering around the colossal beam spun downward as a cyclone of superheated air fought back against the winds that Nex sent upwards.  Gigantic boulders flew skyward and rained downward like hailstones...

With one mighty push, Draven sent a gargantuan surge of crimson energy down the beam's shaft.  The cylinder of flaming death and utter destruction bulged as the mass thundered down at Nex...

----

Anslem wondered if he too should be preparing some sort of spiritual charm like Riuki.  The newcomer seemed to be well versed in a lot of things while Anslem had devoted his whole life to speed and the sword.  Would his skills even do him any good where they were going?

Wait... was he actually afraid?  No, he wouldn't let this get to him.  This whole mess was his fault.  He would do this and help set things right...

But he was still scared.

Where was Renard, anyway?

"Very well," Gaston said, clearing his throat and opening the tome.  His glasses slid down on his muzzle slightly as he flipped the pages. "If you two would lie down."  Helix had the only bed in the room, but there were blankets and pillows spread out on the floor for the two plane-walkers-to- be.  He lay down on his back and tried to relax, which was rather difficult.

Gaston began chanting something unintelligible, but it was a long while before he felt any different.  Gradually he felt a pulling sensation, then he felt like he was floating.  It was different from when he levitated his body, as he had complete control then.  Now he felt like he was in free fall, and that sensation gradually increased until he was flying wildly out of control.

Then everything stopped, and he was standing in a sea of gray fog...  The fog was dense up to his knees, his feet barely visible, then the mist tapered off above that.  Looking down at his silver furred hands, he could see that they were translucent with a blue tint, as was the rest of his body.

"By the gods..." he muttered.  Now he was really freaked out.

The sky above was a deep black, and the clouds a misty blue.  That was it.  Nothing else in all directions...  Darting his eyes about, he saw Riuki standing next to him, also looking quite translucent.

"Ruiki!  Are you all right?"

"...all right... all right... all right..." his voice echoed across the nothingness...

----

After sitting in the darkness for a long time, the black cloaked figure finally decided that there was no one else in the cargo hold of the pirate ship, and he was safely alone.

Removing a pack from under his robes, he quietly opened it and ate a minimal meal of dried meat.  It would be a long trip apparently.  And time was not on his side, especially now...

There's not really a lot to say about what followed his cry of "GOOOOOAL!!!"... except that it was accompanied by massive showboating... an obnoxious, retarded dance, paying no attention to his opponent. At least it seemed...

Ko'ji's body glowed with a faint blue aura, and she too appeared as a spirit in the next realm over. "Ugh... feels like my last time in this world." Her calm voice echoed in the distance. Everything in this realm did.

"I have to tell you, Anslem, you cannot keep blaming yourself for Helix. I even thought that rat was still dead. It's not going to matter, anyways. Once we get Helix all fixed up, he'll be good as new, as if none of this had ever happened!" Ko'ji smiled at Anslem, trying to calm him down. It made her feel better as well.

"Now then, where's Helix...... wait... is that...? Dear god, I think I may have found him. Follow me!" Ko'ji raced forwards with intense speed. She stopped a few feet away, and before her was Helix, lying on the ground, asleep. His glow was faint, and did not look as powerful as it should.

"Helix!" She knelt down next to the fallen battle mage. His wound from the rat looked like it barely healed.

"Let me patch that up." Ko'ji reached in her blue vest and pulled out a bandage. It looked like she did, it was transparent. She wrapped the bandage around Helix's wound and tied it off.

"That should help the healing process... at least a little bit from what I know... What's that... oh no, Anslem, behind you!" A large demon burst from the shadows with two giant blades, and it looked like it had two smaller minnions to aid him. He looked at Anslem and lunged his blades forwards.

Nex's jaw underneath his helmet dropped, how could a human, much less a human so young be this strong? But he still knew that nothing that Draven tossed at him would be enough to kill him. Nothing from no one...

Nex put all of his energy into his stream to fight back the force of the gargantuan energy surge. His head tilted to the side as sparks and fireballs shot from where he was fighting back. It was a huge bright crimson light right in front of Nex, likely Draven would be unable to see Nex behind the blinding light. The superheated air was pushed away and a huge shockwave shot from Nex breaking the mountains around them. The firey pentagram underneath Nex expanded to 30 feet in diameter, and began to crack the ground. In the middle of the pentagram was the symbol of the Talonscar.

Two raspy and ghostly voices started to pass through Nex's head...

'Don't come home yet...'

'You haven't finished...'

'Do not fail our master, again...'

'Don't ruin your second chance...''

Nex was never able to open a hell gate before, but it almost seemed like he did now. Yet not big enough for a person to go through, the voices were able to pass. But Nex wasn't the only person to get messages...

A ghostly but deep voice passed through Draven's head.

'You'll never be able to get rid of them...'

'They'll always be somewhere...'

'Just stay out of their way...'

Then another ghostly voice passed through, it sounded like a man with a slight Russian accent, but he sounded like he was in terrible pain.

'Save me...'

Nex began to laugh harder and louder than ever, the energy he was fighting back exploded and the energy beams broke off. Nex hovered in the air as crimson energy burned through him. But he continued to laugh.

The pentagram underneath him broke the ground and spread into a pool of lava. It looked as if hell itself was leaking into Gaian. Nex fell down into it back first, as he fell into the lava the Talonscar Elites both got up and flew towards the lava pool and dove in.

Erie screams started echoing all over the place, orange skeletons could be seen trying to swim out the pool, trying to escape. Nex slowly sank into the lava, still laughing even when his head was underneath it. Nex's hands were the last thing to go down, but before they sank each finger, except the middle one lowered down. The hands stood like this, until they were totally under the lava. A few seconds after he sunk down, the lava started swirling around like a whirlpool and Nex's laugh could be heard echoing out from it...

'Run away Draven....'

The man, changed, not really much, but he got all kinds of lines on him, and his eyes changed colour.
"It seems.. I have a lord of darkness in my belly.." The man murmured, as if he couldn't believe himself.
Shui walked toward him, and spoke.
"It seems you have no reason to be my servant anymore."
"It seems so." The man replied.
"Well then our ways will part here?" Shui asked.
The man looked with amazement at Shuichi, and grinned.
"I still have some business with you. I won't "serve" you anymore.. but accompany.. yes."
Shuichi seemed relieved and sighed.
"God I though for second you would kill me.."
The man laughed silently. "Why would I do that?" he asked.

...

...

A silence.

...

Shui didn't answer.

...

His look was serious.

...

Reigratto eyes sharpened.

...

The atmosphere is becoming heavy..
Their bodies feel like being torn apart..
And they just stare at each other.

...

Like any second you EXISTENCE could CEASE.

Then Shui smiled.
"It's just a joke."
Reigratto did too.
"I new that."
The atmosphere is normal again, like this never happened. Shui walked toward the sea and his cat jumped off his shoulder into the water. Taking an red pencil into the water, he began drawing in it, no, he was splitting the upper layer of the water.
Reigratto just watched, and Shuichi took a few steps back. The water began to golf.
The smell of blood.. The water changes color.. red.. crimson.. EYES.
For a short while EYES were seen in the water. Crimson eyes.

And then a huge white statue comes out of the water, but it feels like it was there already. Because it did, it was here since the beginning, with the cat sitting on it's head.
Shui looked behind him, and asked Reigratto.
"Will you fly?"
"This time."
The answer was short, but Shui could hear without problems that there was stress in it.

"Let's go then."
Both jumped on the statue of the statue of a bird. It was not much bigger than an regular horse, much wider though because it had it's wings extended. Shuichi "crawled" more on it than jumped, while the cat was looking at him.. like he was laughing.

When Shuichi finally got on it, he took out an piece on paper, with signs on it, and rubbed it on the head of the bird.
The runes disappeared, and the beast started to move. Upwards that is.
They began to fly, and the beast looked each second more and more like a real bird.. After a few minutes it was like a enormous eagle.
It flew southwards.

Draven fumbled in the air for a bit, totally out of breath.  His aura disappeared entirely and he floated towards the ground as a disheveled mess.  There was a huge lava flow beneath him and he landed upon a large boulder sticking out of the fire river and fell to one knee, totally exhausted and unable to move.  Bite me, he thought back at the last voice in his head.  Freaky demon things...

What in blazes was that all about anyway?  Maybe Nex was sucking power from dead spirits or something.  That'd explain why such a demon wimp like him was able to stand up to his unstoppable might.  These claw-scratch freaks or whatever-they-were were perhaps the third most irritating bunch of scrap pile low-lifes that dared thrust their faces in his business.  He'd probably have to take care of them next...

Odd.  One of those voices was almost familiar...

He tried to stand, but instead crumbled down on the rock, supporting himself on two hands.  Ugh... maybe just a five minute break...

----

(Blast it... I suddenly realized I've been spelling Anselm incorrectly for the past several weeks... Heh...)

"Huh?!" Anselm snapped around and shot into the air as a translucent green insectiod creature twice his size slashed down at the foggy floor where the stood.  Flying felt strange... everything did.  Before he could feel gravity tugging his body down, but now he felt nothing, not even wind resistance.  He spun a half circle and drew his blade.  It too was translucent... Odd that he would have his physical weapon when traveling outside his body... perhaps it was merely how he thought his power looked, so that's how it manifested itself?  But would it even hurt the thing?

One way to find out...

Anselm zipped through the air as a blur, finding he could fly much faster outside of his physical body.  Snapping the blade to his side, he slashed the creature's left blade-arm clean off, the dismembered appendage disappearing in a flurry of bright green sparks that faded as they flew about...

Nex's voice echoed through the fire mage's head.

'Draven...'

The lava started bubbling, and Nex's voice entered Draven's mind again, but it was soft calm whisper, which barely sounded like him.

'You're not listening...'

Once again Nex's laugh started echoing through the air, but stopped after awhile.

"Hey...boss..." Said a voice from behind Draven.

"We going to start...icing people?" Another voice spoke.

There were two men, wearing steel armour with light blue trimming; one of them was carrying a pickaxe and a frozen sword handle, where it looked like the blade was melted. The other one was holding a large metal gun. There faces however, only had bits of melted flesh stuck to their bones. It seemed that their feet were on fire, and it was gradually spreading upwards.

After climbing a particularly high peak, Xivilai looked down and saw Tjedon.  One thing was different though; there was a large green dome around the city.  That could be problematic.  The airships above the city could also prove troublesome.

Well, now what?

Xivilai took stock of his surroundings.  A ways to his left was a road leading down to the shielded city.  The road curved slightly until it was hidden behind a hill.  Deciding that the road should lead somewhere,  Xivilai started picking a path down to the road.

The thought of patrols briefly crossed his mind, but he decided he could deal with those if he happened upon any.

"General Gorus, the castle has been destroyed." A lizard man officer said to the High General as he arrived in the camp, after saluting.

"Has the count been found?" Gorus asked.

"No, we searched all over the place, it appears he's escaped." The lizard officer replied. "But we did find these." He handed him two katanas. "They were separate from each other, but they look very similar so I belive they are a set. They both have the initials T.V. on them. I believe they belonged to the count Theodore Vandrin."

Gorus took the katanas and observed them. "Interesting, but I don't collect 'human' weapons. I despise their craftsmen ship." He handed them back to the officer. "They still look like good weapons, I'll admit. Gut some humans with them or something."

"Yes, High General." The officer saulted and then left.

Gorus looked up in the air and crossed his arms. That was a good battle, the best he's had in months. He then walked up onto a nearly levelled down building to give him some more height over his fighters. He raised his arms and quickly the lizard men gained his attention.

"The humans and their mutant army have been slaughtered!" Gorus yelled. "The castle is destroyed and their homes are levelled to the ground! We are victorious!"

The lizard men began cheering and chanting "Van'deln" which was traditionally chanted whenever an army of the subterranean division has a victory in a battle.

Gorus pumped his arms up and down to continue the chant. After about a minute he raised his arms as high as he could and spread them apart and gave a slow but loud roar, and the lizard man roared along with him...

--- ---

Two groups of four undead wyverns’ arrived at Grosse Morne. They were flying in a square formation and each had ropes tied to them attached to a large crate in the middle. The wyverns landed and the crate was placed on the ground.

The other four wyverns were used as transports. Only a few KAF troopers returned, along with General Roland and a shivering man covered in a blanket.

A few servants greeted the undead General.

"Inform the Sovereign that Vandrin's shipment has arrived." Roland ordered. He then shoved the shivering man towards the servant. "And give the count a warm place to stay."

"I've lost...everything...it's all...gone..." The count said mostly to himself.

Roland rolled his eyes and headed towards his quarters. He needed to document a few things, especially about this White Chimera group. They could be a threat to the Sovereignty...

//End Chapter for Gorus and Count Vandrin.\

//Forgot about Rink.\

"Well, I'm off." Rink said to Belle.

"Good luck." Belle said to the imp.

Rink nodded and then ran into the empty bedroom. The room then went bright white and Rink along with Justin and Ven were transported...somewhere...

He looked at Justin and Ven and say that they were blue and translucent, he looked at his hands and saw that he was also.

"Hmm..."
