A spear flew into Hyperions leg as he was finishing charging his attack.

"I need to finish this...... NOW!"

The ground began to crack beneath him as he put all his strength into the attack. The ground of Retangrad began to rapidly heat up even burning Hyperions feet. He stopped charging and turned back into human forms with wings, but the heat was still increasing. He flew up over the city and looked down below with a smirk. Moments later the ground of Retangrad started on fire.

Zeros' looked at the demon, and simply crossed his arms, waiting for the attack. He knew nothing would work against him at the moment, so, all he had to do was wait...

Wait and see...

To the west, off of the cost and barely visible on the horizon (especially with the darkened sky) a small fleet of ships appeared, six in all.  They bore blue flags, different from any previously seen.

"My liege, there is a battle up ahead.  If we stray closer, I fear we may be mistaken for a target..."

"That is our destination..."

"Huh?"

"He's there, caught in the middle of it..."

----

Ven watched Xenia's ball of ki energy fly towards the creature.  A perfect opening... he would time his strike so that he would hit a mere second after the energy ball...

Now!

With all his remaining strength, Ven made yet another mad dash at the creature.  It was another strike with his glowing blade aimed underneath the arm, this time on the opposite side as the last...

The sword hit Ein on his shoulder painfully. It wasn't fatal, but it hurt a lot. He groaned in pain, but continued charging his spell.
--- --- ---
The metal was nearly boiling. Gerard dug out a deep pit, about 1m deep, 1.5m wide and 3m across. The metal poured into the pit, and began cooling off.

The warrior prepared to swing again at Ein, yet Marshal shot the soldier in the head. Another one came towards Marshal, yet he smashed him with his gun and then shot him as he fell back.

----

Valos turned his head around and saw Tsu attack Aura. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" He began to run at Tsu, yet Duilin grabbed his shoulder. "Hey!?" He yelled at the half demon.

"Just let them sort it out." Rink said sternly.

Valos looked at the imp and glared he then looked at Duilin, as he nodded to him. The general then looked at the other battle, and looked at Zeros'. He then backed away and then sat down on the ground, and watched Abodahon.

----

The energy ball then struck his sheild, and took it out. Abodahon then laughed evily and then readied to blast his attack at the three heros. He then pointed both his gauntlets and prepared to fire, yet the knight then struck his sword under his arm. He fell back and blasted a huge dark red blast into the air, it exploded in a huge blood red orb with a large ring around it, as soon as the explotion cleared up then it began to rain blood.

The demon groaned in pain. A mere mortal seemed to be a threat towards him, he should have paid more attiention to him. He grinned at Ven, as he slowly got back up. He then looked at Zeros'.

"You seem preety confident half breed." Abodahon said to him. "Yet, I can see why. You must think very much of yourself with your many wings wings and your 'holier than thou' image going on." He then coughed. This fight wasn't going anywere, he knew that they couldn't kill him, and he knew that with Zeros' there, he wouldn't allow any of his friends to die. "Well, you I guess you just allways have somthing planned, you know exactly what's going to happen next, don't you? Well, this isn't totally over, my friends."

Then a blinding white pentagram appeared on his chest, expanded engulfing him and then just simply dimmed. Abodahon was no longer there.

Tsu got to his feet, hearing Valos yell at him. He didn't give much of a shit about Valos. He was protecting the one thing he lived for. "Damnit, I'm trying to protect you! You know I love you!"

"And you know I don't care! You know I don't want anything to do with you!" She started to gather light energy... But Abodahon had vanished. There was no longer anything to protect her from.

Zion stored away the fire energy he charged up, then looked over to the commotion going on. Xenai watched as well. Zion soon realized what she was about to cast. What...?! She has...!

Tsu soon realized it too. ...Judgment?! When did she get so much power?! "Aura, I have no more reason to fight you. You don't need to charge that spell anymore."

"Shut up! You annoy me, creep!"

Damnit... Tsu assumed a defensive stance. He charged some lightning energy to his hands...

Zeros' looked at when the demon had once been, and snorted at the demons description on himself. 'Holier then thou'? Oh sure, that's how he came off to most, but, that was totally wrong... As for knowing what would happen next, his brain processed information so fast, it only seemed like he knew what was going to happen. As for the wings, he only had two now. He merged them all together into two, larger wings.

"Well... That was interesting," he commented idly, as if talking about the weather.

//Since I am a bit out of it at the moment, and Christmas is very soon, and assuming that because of this proximity to Christmas that the chapter will soon end, there is little point in me starting to post again this chapter.

Of course, I must ask you this Xorlak: Is this chapter going to end soon?//

(I was planning on letting it run for another 2-3 weeks or so, but do people feel like stopping?  This probably would be a good time, I guess.)

Ven fell backwards from exhaustion.  He did it... well not really, but he was part of it.  Lying flat on his back he thrust he left fist up in victory... then brought it to the back of his head.

"Ohh, headache now..."

----

The fighting seemed to simmer down a bit, as if both sides were regrouping and preparing for wave two...  the Greys within Alphagrad and Retangrad, and the Crimson Empire forces in various groups around the cities, save for a few small skirmishes and Hyperion's still ongoing assault on Retangrad.

Draven was on the ground between the two cities, surrounded by a large force, a caped officer talking to him, and Draven yelling back, pointing in several directions and waving his hands, and the officer nodding in comprehension.

----

(Haraldur, do you want to continue Vincent and the prophet's conversation, or should I just have him high tail it outta there?  Or there's no reason why we couldn't have these two pick up at this point at the beginning of the next chapter.)

"Aura, knock it off!"

"I'm sick of you! You're creepy, and I hate you!"

"Damnit!" He sheathed his sword quickly performed 3 ninja seals... (And I've memorized them in real life, except for the seals' names... I do believe I've earned the right to use this at least once here. Razz) Ox, Yiang, Hare, then grabbing his left forearm while holding out his left hand, as if holding a ball.

"Judgment!!!" The sky starts to shoot down rays of powerful light at Tsu, who weaves through each one as he heads toward Aura, trying hard to concentrate ki to his hand. "Raikiri! Lightning Edge!" His hand erupts with lightning.

Seijin frowns from his cloud. I don't like that...

Zion doesn't like it either. That technique's made to kill! What are you doing?

He comes in range, thrusting his hand out, formed like a knife, toward Aura's shoulder. She dodges as Tsu starts to cartwheel past, and unsheathes one of her scimitars, slashing at him. He catches it with his feet, and pulls his left hand off the ground, thrusting into one of her legs.

"Ugh!"

Valos laughed as Aura attacked Tsu.

"How could you laugh, you're such a heartless jerk." Rink snapped at the general.

"This, coming from an imp. Haha, that's extremely amusing. Okay, I laugh at a women giving the harshest rejection possible, and you whip thousands of people for not admitting they didn't go to church, before they died, and that makes you a better person, ahem, 'being' then me." He said mockingly

Rink readied to fly up a smash Valos right in the face, yet Duilin grabbed him as the imp flue upwards.

Valos began to laugh even more. "Oh god, this is the amazing, just classic!"

Duilin narrowed his eyes. "Listen, we already have two of our allies fighting and we don't want more. And, Rink I don't think the Empire would like it if you attacked a commanding officer."

"You're taking his side?" Rink asked in shock.

"Well, it's true and in a way he does have a point." Duilin said, he seemed to regret saying it after he did.

Rink jumped to the ground, and just walked away without looking back.

"Rink! I'm sorry!"

Valos put his hand on Duilin's shoulder. "Let him go, he's just trying to limit you anyway."

"What? Limit me?"

"Your power. He doesn't want you to become to strong or else you'll go fully demonic, yet it wouldn't be dangerous if you did."

"What about bloodrage? Won't I loose control and harm people?"

"No, untrue. Your father, didn't and he became very powerful and had just as much control over himself as he did when he had his human side."

"Did you witness my father...change?"

"I suppose you could say I did." He then stepped back and turned around, he looked up into the sky as the blood rained down.

"God, this is disgusting." Duilin groaned. After a few seconds when he said that, it stopped raining.

(Chapter 7 ends in 3 days.  We won't be doing the classic, "everyone goes to bed" thing, since its not practical in the middle of a battle like this.  Heh...)

The sun was setting behind the thick black clouds, though it was barely noticeable.

Ven slowly sat up and dusted himself off (again).  It seemed lines have been drawn and the fighting stopped for a while, around him at least.  Still, there was the sound of one more scuffle, sounds of spells being cast and raised voices...

Ven limped, following the sounds, moving around an obstructing portion of raised land and small shrubbery to witness the battle himself.  It was Tsu and some woman in Crimson Empire uniform.  Ven approached behind Valos and Duilin, overhearing the part of the conversation about the 'bloodrage' and such, and decided not to say anything...

Tsu sprung to his feet. He looked up at the brief rain of blood, as did Aura. They both said in unison, "Eww!" Their eyes locked onto each other's immediately after that. Aura's wide eyed stare quickly switched to a glare, while Tsu's wide eyes just turned sad.

"Do you really think you can beat me?" asked Tsu. "Let alone with that wound I just gave you?"

She thought back at all the times they had fought as pro swordsmen, at how inferior she had been compared to him. "Grrr... I know I can beat you!" She started to dash toward Tsu, but the wound in her leg was shocking... It hurt, and it tingled. Both pretty badly. She came down on her good knee. "Crap... One day, I WILL beat you!"

"I'm already aware of that."

"..."

"That's what I always used to tell you."

~~~~~~
Aura and Tsu dashed at each other, a crowd of roaring fans surrounding them in the stadium. They passed each other with that flashy effect they always do in animes, followed by suspense. Aura dropped to her knee, then turning to look at Tsu. "Why... Do you always beat me?"
"Don't stop trying. You will beat me someday. That, I am sure of." Tsu looked at Aura, smiling warmly. He walked over and extended his hand to help her up.
"Hmph. Creep." She got up herself and walked off. Tsu just frowned with sad eyes.
~~~~~~

"..."

"Now is not the time for us to fight anyways. We are allies right now." He sheathed his sword and walked over to Zion and Xenai. "I'm ready to go. Is there anything else we need to do today?"

"No, not that I know of," said Zion.

Aura looked to Tsu for a moment, then sheathed her scimitar. She got to her feet and walked over to Valos weakly, though trying not to show it. "Please forgive me for what just happened."

Zeros' sighed sadly, and shook his head. The rain of blood didn't bother him... That's all his immortal life was. Blood, death, and the will to survive... Once this planet was on the right track, he would leave Gaian... Forever. He would never come back. He'd let the humans deal with their own problems. He floated the the ground, and phased away, appeared next to Rink, and falling instep with him.

He put a hand on the smaller demons shoulder, and just sighed.

"Don't worry about Duilin... He's a good kid. He won't even have what it takes to go fully into his demonic heritage. If he did, he would of never left the Dark Empire five years ago, and help Romme fight," he said.

---

Allen finally sighed, sat down, removing his glasses, and wiping his brow. He had finally finished a new main power orb. He didn't have all he needed to make it as powerful as the other one, but, as long as there wasn't a massive explosion, it would be fine. He had transfered the juice the blue haired elite had put into it into the new orb, and recharged it.

Now, all he had to do was wait.
