Maxim followed Lia's trail "It's like she wants to be found" Maxim notices movement in the shadows. He draws his short sword and continues down Lia's trail. "She must've been in a hurry." Maxim noticed another movement in the trees and turned towards them.

That's when he felt the first hit.

An animal had rammed him from behind and Maxim was thrown a couple yards. Maxim stood up quickly, facing the beast

Maxim dodges another swipe. "oh crap!" Maxim trips and rolls away from another assault. He reaches for something on his back, then fliches. "I left my Halberd at the pub, oh crap" Maxim ducks in time for the claw of the bear the cut just above his head, and takes down a tree. And plunges his short sword into it, the sword doesn't come out and the beast is still alive.

Dude Man is however drunk at the time and is really aiming for his butt, but he dosen't know that Laughing
