It occurs to me that the reason MotD think it means that she really loves him is because that is what he wants to believe.

For his sake I hope that Esther understates things a lot, so that it means more than it says.

Well, maybe, but what if she grew to hate him, and said "I almost wish you were dead" and kills him?

Yes, but would MotD be stupid enough to turn "love ya" into a death threat?

OK. Even though I know nothing about it, I would not think it that easy to get to that situation quickly.

LOL, your taking things too seriously, I was just joking about your "understate things" comment  Razz . Like she would understate the fact that she was going to kill him by saying "I almost wish you were dead".

I suppose. Maybe the fact I know nothing about things like this makes me serious about them, hehe.

Not neccesarily. I've only had 2 girlfriends in my life, so it's not like I'm all that experienced "personally" either. However, I do watch other people and their relationships, etc, and try to learn from their mistakes, etc

Oh, and I agree with Asimir that she probably just said it in a friendly way. When someone is saying they are actually "in love" with you, they don't just write "love ya" at the end of their letter.

Here's an example of a girl who may have been in love, and, I might add, was definately insane.

Quote from: "girl"
I have been thinking of you very long and hard. I sit up at night on my bed and crave to call and talk to you. I know your 16 and I'm turning 19 this Jan3, but I think we have something very unique about our relationship; how we can continue being great friends for eternity, it's not the same for some people, some turn against each other after they break up, but we've been able to care for each other after our break up. I love you, because you're so quiet; like I am; a good listener, a very, very sweet person, and you know how to chill out and have a great time. I also know deep in my heart I can turn to you....(skip some stuff)... My main reason for writing you this letter is, because I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

That was roughly one paragraph at the beggining of a five page letter. I highly doubt this girl is saying that she's in love with you.
Dude, you scored with an older chick! Alright! *gives Spyder high five* I thought I'd be the only one around here. Laughing LMFAO!

Heh, actually it's not that uncommon for the girl to be older.

OMG, at my high school, if your going for a girl so much as one year older, you're asking for your death warrant.

Why?......

Quote from: "Mark of the Dragon's Sig
My penpal, Esther. She already fell in love with me, yay!

Again...I'd think long and hard about that...

And why are you trying to hide it with yellow text?

I'm not trying to hide it with yellow text. It stands out against the darker skin I have.

And in my area, girls just refuse to date guys younger than them. Something about how younger guys are entirely immature and not worth their time.
