Oh, and about the BIOS thing...
You can manually turn the BIOS password off without any software, but then your parents will know you changed it...
I only tried this on a Dell, so I'm not sure if this is the case with other computers...
Open up the case. Somewhere in that mess of circuits you should see a jumper and a plugin. Here's a diagram:

The jumper should be plugged into two of the three slots. Move teh jumper to the other two slots, and it bypasses teh CMOS settings. Or perhaps it resets it? Either way, when you start the computer, there will not be a password, even if you move the jumper back.
